
(NECN) - Her video quickly took over the internet, reaching over five million views within days. Barstool Sports blogger Jenna Mourey's How to trick people into thinking you're good looking is what she calls a satire of her life. In the YouTube video, she opens by saying, "If you were born ugly like me, have no fear; there's steps you can take to be good looking -- kind of." Her self-deprecating humor is rooted in her willingness to put herself out there no holds barred. "I have no fear, I have no shame. If people want to see me without makeup making fun of my self, do that," Mourey said on NECN Morning. Mourey has an undergraduate degree in psychology from Suffolk University and a master's degree from Boston University, but blogs and is a go-go dancer in Boston. The video, she said, has some truth in it. "It's actually a satire of my real life. I feel like I've kind of trick people into thinking I'm good looking," Mourey said on NECN Morning. "I mean, I think I'm cute. But I have this image that's very bleached blond hair, lots of makeup and it's not really who I am ... it's a long transformation, let's just say that." After the video blew up on the internet, her story has been told in the newspaper and on local television, but she will soon go national.
