HP have today announced they will be killing the HP Touchpad. WebOS is once again stamped with an uncertain future. HP claim to be "looking for a hardware partner" which indicates WebOS could be going open source like Android and to be fair i think it could work. The TouchPad on the other hand is or should i say was a stunning device and i want to cry because it no longer exist. Visit Us - www.theworldoftech.net

Click To Tweet: clicktotweet.com Hey Guys! Today, I inform you guys about about the recent HP announcement that was released on August 18th, 2011. In this announcement, HP said they will be killing the TouchPad, a recent tablet that ran on WebOS and was supposed to compete with the iPad and other tablets. Also, they said that they will be swaying away from WebOS but, if a company wishes to put it on their phone they will provide it. Personally, I thought the TouchPad was awesome and very interesting. I like trying out other things that don't run on iOS. But, in the long run a company needs to make cuts according to the profit margins they make and I think this was smart. In this week's XDA TV Recap, azrienoch takes us through some information about Cyanogenmod 9 and Ice Cream Sandwich, and the scandal of Verizon's choice to sully the Nexus ideal. The big story is, of course, Hewlett Packard's decision to open source WebOS. Is this the salvation or damnation of Palm's firstborn son? Azrienoch explains his thoughts (on a poetic note). Review-This unboxes and takes a tour of the HP TouchPad tablet. HP decided to kill off this tablet only a few weeks after launch so to shift all the units they dropped the price to just £89/$99 for the 16gb model and £115/$150 for the 32gb. After the price drop people rushed to buy the tablet causing stores to sell out within minutes! Please comment/rate/subscribe! Visit review-this.org

This time windows 95, and with sound after 10 seconds of blackness... I fiddle with the volume button because webos has a weird way of initializing sound, and sometimes it just doesnt work. No clue. At least you get to hear half the start up sound. Mouse pointer coordinates are still broken. Active Windows Desktop... what a piece of crap. Read my writeup about the TouchPad (READ FIRST): www.thetechmob.net My little "mini-review" of HP's TouchPad (16GB, WiFi, v3.0.2.68). One word: disappointed It's no wonder why HP decided to kill their webOS projects. This device is really THAT bad. The OS is INCREDIBLY SLOW! And yes, this has been updated to the latest OS version (3.0.2b68). I've also overclocked it to 1.5GHz~, and it's still quite slow. That's just the way it is folks. Maybe Honeycomb will make the $100 purchase worthwhile. Feel free to follow Brian and The TechMob on Twitter! twitter.com twitter.com
