I've filmed these fantastc Pagani Huayra's during the 81° Geneva Auto Show. The first one was painted in red with carbon fiber components, the second one (the first Huayra ever made) was painted in gray. I had also seen Horacio Pagani, the owner of the factory. While i'm filmig a client turn on the pagani that make a fantastic start up, but unfortunately there was too noise, and so you couldn't hear the sound. Pagani has finally revealed its much rumoured and much anticipated successor to the Zonda: Meet the Pagani Huayra. The Huayra, pronounced why- ra, is only the second model to emerge from Pagani, and features a twin-turbo 6.0-litre AMG V12 producing 730bhp and 811lb ft of torque. Pagani hasn't released performance figures, but rest assured they will be lightly shattering; that 730bhp AMG V12 - made specifically for Pagani - only has to propel 1350kg of Huayra, and the tyres are rated to 230mph. At its heart, the Huayra's tub is constructed from Pagani's exclusive carbon-titanium, inside which sits that monster AMG engine and a bespoke seven-speed paddleshift transmission from Xtrac. The suspension is a race-type pushrod setup, with adjustable Ohlins dampers and aluminium alloy wishbones. The tech on the Huayra reaches a veritable zenith with four individual computer-controlled flaps on the car's upper surfaces, allowing the downforce on each corner to be controlled. Yes, programmable downforce in a road-car. It gets gullwing doors, and the central console inside is machined from a solid billet housing a multi-function screen. As you can see from the pics, the interior is a work of automotive art. Mr Pagani also reckons the Huayra can achieve 23.5mpg on the combined cycle, which, considering, is surely a miracle. Hopefully will apear on Top Gear soon.

Just as the dust settles from the breaking news coming out of the Detroit auto show earlier this week, Pagani chooses the right moment to release their third teaser video. No new information accompanies the latest video installment, but it seems since that last video the media is taking sides on which will be the new name. Earlier reports stated the next generation Pagani Zonda (codenamed C9) could be called "Huayra". Almost simultaneously other reports emerged with the smallest morsels of proof tracing back to Pagani that "Deus Venti" which is Latin for "God of the winds" is the name. With two more teaser videos to come, we will soon find out as the Pagani C9 is expected to debut at the Geneva Motor Show in March.

We ate a fabulous meal and decided to cap the night off with a stop by a great hotel for cars, or the Peninsula Hotel Beverly Hills. We saw a couple Ferraris and Lamborghinis parked in the valet lot and a large crowd of people standing nearby, so we decided to go in. I walked in first, my friends waited outside the entrance. I saw a glimpse of the Zonda R (www.youtube.com and instantly knew that it was part 2 of the US unveiling of the Huayra. I yelled to my friends, "F**k, a Zonda R!" and they nearly crapped themselves... We walked in and saw the Huayra as well and our knees went weak. Later on a Bugatti Veyron came by as you can see in the video, which made for an insane combo. I'd like to personally thank and congratulate Mr. Horacio Pagani and the Pagani staff for not only building such AMAZING cars, but for also being some of the friendliest car people I've ever met. They engaged in full-on conversation even though I'm just a kid and nowhere near a potential buyer, and they even let us sit in the Huayra. The best part was that I had the opportunity to meet Mr. Pagani himself. Now, he speaks Italian and very little English, so the language barrier restricted our conversation, but I was able to tell his translator that my favorite car is the Zonda Cinque (lucky London spotters...).
