The week before we filmed someone had broken their neck on the jump. On a technical note, it was filmed on a Canon 5D Mark II, 2 Canon 2Ti's, and one EX1. Very cool bike jumping in alpine Utah. This project was especially cool because of all of the aspects that went into making it. All of the footage was filmed over 3 different days in August. It was filmed with 2 kodak playsport point and shoot cameras @60fps, a Nikon d3100 DSLR camera @30fps, an iPhone 4, and a GoPro camera. All footage was edited in Adobe Premiere Pro, and Sony Vegas. My friends and I took a trip to Little Sahara State Park in Waynoka, Oklahoma in the summer of 2009. We had a crazy time doing some awsome jumps. Tyller Braswell was on the Suzuki 450 dirt bike, Eric Manson was riding a Can Am ds 450, Mason Hudrlik a KFX450, Austin Reuter a 400ex, Ryan Flagel a Z400, and our camera man Chase Wells was riding a Raptor 350. It was our first trip to the sand dunes, but definetly not our last. We will be going to to St. Anthony sand dunes in Idaho this summer in 2010.

On some random Sunday afternoon in 1975, three teenage boys, under the influence of the movie "On Any Sunday" as well as Dirt Bike and Motocross Action magazines; aspiring to emulate their superhero Evel Kneivel and capture the hearts of all the girls in sleepy Morgantown, West Virginia, planned what they thought might well be the World's Record Bicycle Jump. It probably wasn't, but it was a huge production in the working-class neighborhood of First Ward. I forgot how big the turn-out was. Posters were placed all over town, and although Mom condemned it, she showed up as well with her Super-8 silent movie camera. The jump was a real show - our jump ramp was an exact copy of Evel's ; Danny Lloyd as the warm-up act, jumping 9 tires. Our best friend the late Jimmy Posey as the preliminary act, jumping 10 tires (but crashed on landing!), and the Main Event starring Mario DeProspero, who successfully leapt over 11 (count 'em - 11!) tires - which I suppose is somewhere around 30 feet. Not bad for hand-me-down spider bikes with no suspension. By the way, if memory serves me right, all of our bikes suffered major damage, and I don't remember having any girls chasing after us following the jump.
