Human Behaviour

www.humanbehaviour.de Human Behaviour is a shortstory about opposites, in which two worlds collide. The human grace, vulnerability and beauty are set in contrast to the rough and lumbering character of a machine. Cautious contact and desire raise expecations. This film is the result of a student team-project at the University of Applied Science Ansbach Germany. The dancer was filmed at a real Location. The robot however is a pure 3D Computeranimation. The challenge of this in full-HD produced project was to create a believable combination of original footage and CG elements. Important steps were the matchmoving of the original camera moves, the robot animation, the complex colorcorrecions as well as realistic and efficient rendering and compositing. Genetics and Human Behavior

This video addresses the topic of Genetics, Sociology and Human behavior. What determines human personality and behavior? I assert that Genetics play a very large role in determining who we are; in the exact same way that Genetics determines our physical characteristics. If you have blue eyes or blond hair, it's because of genes; same goes for certain personality traits and human behaviors. Behavior is passed down through genetics in the same way that eye-color is. This is a observable scientific fact.

Surviving the Coming Zombie Apocalypse "Catastrophes and Human Behavior" (Full Version)

"Surviving the Coming Zombie Apocalypse" is an online course that uses the idea of a Zombie Apocalypse to attract attention to the important topic and research on "Catastrophes and Human Behavior". Students will learn about the nature, scope and impact of catastrophic events on individuals, families, societies, civilizations, and the Earth itself. The central theme of the course is "How do humans behave in catastrophic times?" The course begins (the entire first week) and ends (the last 4 days) with a "Catastrophic Event Simulation" (The Coronal Mass Ejection Incident - resulting in a Zombie Pandemic). Students are assigned into Survivor Groups located throughout the United States and must face the challenges of living and surviving together during a catastrophic event. "In a time of catastrophe, some people find their humanity; other lose theirs." Glenn Stutzky HOW TO TAKE THIS CLASS You don't have to be a MSU student to take MSU summer courses! How to Dissolve the Problem of Free Will and Determinism

A public lecture I gave at my university on some research I've been doing. The debate over free will and determinism and their role in understanding human behavior and moral responsibility goes back as far as the Ancient Greeks. The modern argument has migrated to the field of neuroscience. Yet neither the modern debate, nor its historical predecessors have managed to provide much illumination of either human behavior or moral responsibility. In this talk, I will argue that we should abandon the concepts of free will and determinism entirely and instead shift towards thinking in alternate terms that will allow us to explain human behavior in terms of modern neuroscience and still make sense of moral responsibility.
