I heard perfectly "legitimate" criticisms (ie, by "professional" music critics, & I mean *especially* when this album came out, b/c I bought it the week it hit my local "indie" vinyl/cd shop) of this album, & at the time was in the "it's okay/half-good"-crowd, but now owning it for first time in several years, have to say *wow!*, not so bad after all, & yet *another* amazing album. "Crystal" will remain one of my favorite Bob Mould/Husker Du songs, hands down (!!)

1995 Husker Retro - Fiesta Bowl predictions.... and Grass
Predictions and analysis from "experts". Most of whom really outdid themselves for the 1995 National Championship matchup at the Fiesta Bowl. Probably the most memorable prediction for Husker fans came from Lee Corso who promised that the playing surface would be a vital factor in the game and would be key to a Florida win. Pre-ESPN Lou Holtz made the same brilliant prediction regarding the natural surface of Sun Devil Stadium. Vegas favored Nebraska by 3 but seemingly every tv pundit picked Florida to win. Some even warned that the game could get "out of hand"-- in the Gators favor. In this video, from CNN's morning College Football show (which aired at the same time as ESPN's Gameday) is the lone "expert" who foresaw a Husker win. Enjoy.
