Hydro Foam, Build Video
Put this together in a few days. The Robbe Hydro. Using a 25 amp ESC, The rest of the power set up has changed from the video, our motor went BOOM, so we now gota, 7 X 4 Prop, Hacker copy motor, 3 cell 1300 lipo, and 4 x 9g servos. This has elevator and ailerons, NOT elevons. Maiden video will be up next week.

Hydrofoam homemade - 1st attempt
It was in the calm morning wave when 1st attampt using 3S 620 maH that took very short time, found it was too heavy tail that made it almost fly at full speed. Elevators and ailerons were not installed yet, due to unavailable servos. However, in general it performed great. Tried again in the afternoon but the wave and wind was quite strong, some water got inside and made the system mulfunction after running couple of minutes. Found water inside reciever, opened and dried it. The reciever works again in the next day. Sorry for the bad quality of video, hoping you enjoy the still images. Will post the next video. Thanks

Moded Hydrofoam/Flying Boat 4 Ch Snow Fun and Re-Maiden Flight
Took out the Hydrofoam/Flying Boat from storage, moded it by attaching the battery in front to move the CG forward and changed the 27 Mhz to HK/Turnigy 2.4 Ghz gear. Model flies beautifully now - shame the kits are very hard to find !

We went to our cousins trailer north of Toronto, Wasaga beach area and made this video with the Robbe Hydro we built last week, took longer than normal to edit, but we think it was worth the extra effort. This thing is too much fun.... Hydro Foam HF-1 and 2 Prototypes Part#1

However, we are doing it with an rcFoam Fighter twist, using the tape and same power setup as the actual planes. A few attempts to stay airborne but the more hops in the river the wetter and heavier...amazingly the battery stays dry and another prop hasn't fallen off. They are discontinued so my fun will run out soon :(

Amphibious Pathfinder Hydrofoam Floatplane Rough Water
Using my Amphibious Pathfinder as a tunnel hull boat. The water was a little rough for a prop hydrofoam with both wavelets and little rollers making it difficult not to hit the water with the tips of the prop. I might try a shorter 3 blade prop.
