Got out and chased some crappies in Northeastern Minnesota this last weekend. We were fishing a deep hole and the fish were suspended at 20'-45'. Jr's hot tomalley (blood red) was a good lure early on. Later in the day the Lindy Rattl'n flyer (rainbow/glow) produced a good number of fish. Both baits were tipped with two waxies. I also got a chance to watch the new Strikemaster Solo....that thing has some power!

We where in 3 - 3.5 feet of water, on a sunny day with the temperature around 37 degrees. In this addition of the Wigwam Fishing Report video, the Wigwam Fisherman and Troy Huntley explore Adrian's Road in the 34 foot range about 9.5 - 10 miles out from Pine Island. The fish that we're catching are not in great numbers, but bigger fish! Throughout this day (7 hours of fishing) we caught and released over 50 fish, 4 in the slot (big Walleye was 26-1/2")...not to shabby, not to shabby at all. The Wigwam Fisherman takes you on another Lake of the Woods adventure on the World's Best Hard Water Fishery in this addition of the Wigwam Fishing Repot. The Sauger bite is indescribable and out of this world at this particular moment in our history, and just plain old fun! The fish are still crusing in 18 - 23 feet of water from Morris to Lighthouse Gaps. Our buddies with a few other resorts in the area have started to move out just a tad bit deeper in 25 -27 feet and finding some more Walleyes, but not in the concentration that we're finding the Saugers currently. Also the people that are moving out deeper are fighting some bad spots in the ice and you must only proceed with caution when traveling to far off Pine Island. Happy Fishing and be safe...God Bless.

In this addition of the Wigwam Fishing Report Video, the Wigwam Fisherman gets the pleasure of testing out of few new lures from JR's Tackle with the boys from JR's (Joel, Lance & Ed). Even with the huge change in temperature (40 degrees to 6 degrees) in 12 hours. The fish were still active and biting with authority. We fished in 29 & 32 feet of water west of the Big Pine on Pine Island, which is about 3 miles out from Pine. The hot lure on the day was the "Hot Tamale" (Pink/Glitter Glow Gold) with a live or frozen Shiner, either worked with similar success.
