From the game's point of view not much is actually told about him through dialogue until this point, but going by the anime canon Dark Fact was a descendant of the priest Fact, and was corrupted by the evil in the land after witnessing his father betrayed by the humans he had a duty to protect. The Black Pearl, a gift from the Goddesses Feena and Reah to the land of Ys, was inevitably used for evil purposes by humans and led to the rise of demons long ago. Eventually the demons were sealed away, but with the disappearance of silver and the awakening of Feena and Reah they dispersed through the land again. Dark Fact embraced evil because he believed that because man chose it time and time again that it was the land's destiny. Philosophy aside, though, Adol has no choice but to don the Silver equipment and Blue Amulet to defeat the dark sorcerer in front of him and obtain the final book of Ys. -------------------------------- Dark Fact is a quick boss battle, but its very intimidating to actually do. The Flash: Speed Force I-Chronicles of the Speed Force was made 1 years ago and essentially what I did was modify, re-edit, covert to HD, new special FX, visual FX, better quality of picture, sound, and a brand new fight scene between Wally West/The Flash and Gorilla Grodd. The scene is much faster then the awful fight scene in the original I improved it and made the scene more epic. The mediums I used were Coral VideoStudio Pro X3 and CS2 Photoshop. Enjoy the new and improved 1st episode of the soon to be 3 part mini Flash: Speed Force cartoon trilogy. Part III will be out due this Fall to complete the Flash Speed Force Trilogy by Warner Bros. [Best viewed in HD] Game: "Ys I: Ancient Ys Vanished ~ Omen" from Ys I&II Chronicles Platform: Sony PSP Developer: Nihon Falcom At the lower depths of Rastin Mine, Adol comes unfortunately comes across another beast guarding the next Book of Ys... ----------------------- ...And it's easily the toughest boss in the game. First of all, to actually win this battle you basically need to be max level (level 10) and have the Silver Sword. Even then, it requires some fair amount of forethought and a lot of patience in order to actually win. Vagullion is a demon in bat form that disperses into a cloud of smaller bats in order to ravage its victims, and its what single-handedly took down the town of Rastin which was centered around this silver mine. In this small room, you have to find out the best way to dodge the cloud of bats and wait for it to reform into its true form in order to attack it. Unfortunately, it's true form lasts for a split second and tends to have a residue hitbox of the bats still forming, so you may get damaged even though it seems it's finished transforming if you strike a nanosecond to early. The only real method of survival is to run in a square-circle around the room, since the bats will demolish your HP quickly if you get caught in them. The best way I always tackled this was to run in a octagon-like motion around the corners of the room instead of a smooth curve. Not running too far ahead also means a higher chance that they will be grouped together <b>...</b>

[Best viewed in HD] Game: "Ys I: Ancient Ys Vanished ~ Omen" from Ys I&II Chronicles Platform: Sony PSP Developer: Nihon Falcom The first boss of Ys I is fairly simple, though it sets up the theme for battles in the first game. There are only 10 levels in this game, considering it's the shortest entry in the series (and because it's the first). Therefore, at one level you may die in a few hits and dish out next to no damage, but at the next level up you will slaughter the bosses and enemies. On Nightmare mode the difference between levels is even more apparent than usual, since usually level 4 is enough for Jenocres. He teleports around somewhat based on your position (normally he teleports opposite the side you are standing, so being near the middle is best) and it basically boils down to avoiding the flames jetting from the wall. They rack up damage pretty nicely and unlike future titles in the series you can't use items, heal, or use your equipment's special effects in boss battles. Fortunately at this level he goes down pretty quickly. Also he is one of the two bosses in this game that lags remotejoy somewhat; you should be able to see the considerable jump in FPS before and after the fight. It actually made this pretty tolerable, but in real time he's moving much faster and his teleporting can be hard to keep up with when trying to dodge flames. ------------------------- After defeating Jenocres, Adol ventures deeper into the Lower Shrine and comes across something <b>...</b>

Time Attack mode is also unlocked after completing the game under the same condition. This is just Boss Rush with all the bosses on Normal difficulty.

Except it...seems like two. --------------------------- Yog and Omu are two heads with revolving fragments which, of course, are what cause damage. Only one of the heads is real, and the other is a fruitless effort in attempting to attack. Fortunately the real head is always the same. This battle can be difficult if you rush into it too quickly. There's a lot of room and time to wait it out in the arena so patience, like with Pictimos, is a virtue. When there are 4 cubes around them, it is best to run straightforward, attack, and then exit at a 90 degree angle to get out safely most of the time (since it's a revolving square). Once enough damage is dealt, one of the fragments will disappear and make things infinitely easier. Eventually the number drops to two and one, so its really only getting by that first part with 4 cubes in order to win. --------------------------- With those last two demons defeated, a hidden hallway leading directly to the peak of the Tower opens up before Adol.

Of course nothing comes easy on an adventure. -------------------- Despite it's ominous sounding description/intro, the Nygtilger is actually the easiest boss in the game hands down. It circles around the arena trying to attack you, but it's only method of attack is ramming(/biting) you with it's head segment. The entire rest of its body is one big target. And since it travels in circles, staying inside of its circumference is terribly easy. I guess the game makes up for it with the next boss... ------------------------- With the beast defeated, Adol recovers the first book of Ys, the Book of Hadal, and returns to Minea. There, he receives his next destination, the Book of Tovah, and unfortunately, some tragic news.

He throws 3 sickles in somewhat of a set pattern, and they do damage traveling to and from its body. The concept of actually attacking it is fairly simple, but it can be tricky if you break the rhythm of his sickles. The best time is when all 3 sickles are lodged into the opposite wall, but you have to be quick about it if you want to dish damage quickly. Since it is very easy to lose track of your position in relation to the sickles, this one is more of a test of patience than anything. -------------------------------- The demonic bug yields a door leading to the Book of Mesa, as well as a hammer which finds some use later, and the climb up Darm Tower continues.
