The Collector Trailer

For handyman and ex-con, Arkin (JOSH STEWART), a quiet home and a family on vacation is an "opportunity". For inside the house lies a jeweler's safe, and inside the safe is a rare gem -- his only hope for repaying his ex-wife's debt and keeping what's left of his family intact. Unfortunately for Arkin, inside the house is also a box containing the latest specimen in a collection catalogued in blood, bone and tears - a human specimen packaged as "bait". While the trap may have already sprung shut on parents Michael (MICHAEL REILLY BURKE) and Victoria (ANDREA ROTH) -- cutting short their vacation before it could even begin - the jaws have yet to close on teenage daughter Jill (MADELINE ZIMA) and eight-year old Hannah (KARLEY SCOTT-COLLINS). As the seconds tick down to midnight, Arkin becomes a reluctant hero trapped by a masked "Collector" (JUAN FERNANDEZ) in a maze of lethal invention -- the Spanish Inquisition as imagined by Rube Goldberg -- while trying to rescue the very family he came to rob. From Marcus Dunstan and Patrick Melton, the twisted minds behind Saw IV, V and VI, THE COLLECTOR emerges as a real-time game of cat-and-mouse, melding primal horror with suspense thriller. THE COLLECTOR will open in cinemas everywhere across the UK 25th June 2010 Certificate 18 and Running Time 90 Minutes

Thomas and the Magic Railroad

All Thomas had to do for this movie was Act Naturally. Thomas and the Magic Railroad is a 2000 British and American film based on the well-known TV series Thomas the Tank Engine and Friends and the US TV series Shining Time Station. This film production company was Gullane Entertainment with funding from Icon Film Distribution (UK), Destination Films, Isle of Man and The Britt Allcroft Company. It was released first in the UK where critics were unfamiliar with the characters from Shining Time Station and accused Thomas of being "Americanized". It received slightly better reviews in the US ("An enchanting ride." AP. "Delight for young moviegoers." Garnett News Service.) and was well liked by the young audience for whom it was created. Even when the film was not a success, they began making sequels, nevertheless and Michael Angelis (the original voice of Percy, James and rumouredly Gordon) continued narrating. In 2007, it was revealed that the released film was drastically cut down against Allcroft's wishes from the original script written and shot by her.
