The UK plans to jump onto carbon capture (02Feb10)

A look into the possibility of using "carbon capture" to bury emissions into holes into the ground. There are two problems with this stupid idea. Firstly, it only stores up a problem for future generations to deal with. But most importantly, if there was an earth tremor, and they do occur in the UK, what is to say the carbon you put into the hole will stay in the hole, and not leak out. And if the hole is big enough, it would leak out in one large chunk. Then you've accelerated the problem carbon capture claims to solve multiple times over. Thirdly, and this is the killer argument, the cost of this idiotic scheme is astronomical. Recorded from BBC's Newsnight, 02 February 2010.

The Beatles - Tomorrow Never Knows (w/ lyrics)

My first video ever made. Tomorrow Never Knows by The Beatles on their 1966 album Revolver. "Tomorrow Never Knows" is the final track of The Beatles' 1966 studio album Revolver. It is credited as a Lennon/McCartney song, but was written primarily by John Lennon. Although it was the first song that was recorded, it was the last track on the album. The song is significant because it contains the first example of a vocal being put through a Leslie speaker cabinet to obtain a vibrato effect (which was normally used as a loudspeaker for a Hammond organ) and the use of an ADT system (Automatic double-tracking) to double the vocal image. "Tomorrow Never Knows" ends the Revolver album in a more experimental fashion than earlier records, which contributed to Revolver's reputation as one of the group's most influential and expressive albums. LYRICS: Turn off your mind, relax and float downstream It is not dying, it is not dying Lay down all thoughts, surrender to the void It is shining, it is shining That you may see the meaning of within It is being, it is being That love is all, that love is everyone It is knowing, it is knowing That ignorance and hate may moum the dead It is believing, it is believing But listen to the color of your dream It is not living, it is not living Or play the game existance to the end Of the beginning, of the beginning, Of the beginning, of the beginning, Of the beginning, of the beginning, of the beginning...

Lesley Gore - You Don't Own Me (w/ lyrics) (played twice!)

Lesley Gore - You Don't Own Me, recorded in 1964 found on the album "Lesley Gore Sings Of Mixed-Up Hearts". -Along with Betty Friedan's book The Feminine Mystique (which was published shortly before this song's release), this song can be considered one of the many things that helped begin the Women's Liberation Movement, despite the fact that the movement did not really take off until a decade later. This song is one of the very first songs in which a woman demands her independence from her man. -This was Gore's last US Top 10 hit. Her biggest hit was "It's My Party." -Goldie Hawn, Diane Keaton, and Bette Midler sang this together in the 1996 film The First Wives Club. -This was written by John Madara and Dave White Tricker. Madara wrote some movie scores, and Tricker was a former member of Danny And The Juniors. -Quincy Jones produced this. LYRICS: You don't own me, I'm not just one of your many toys You don't own me, don't say I can't go with other boys Don't tell me what to do Don't tell me what to say Please, when I go out with you Don't put me on display, 'Cause You don't own me, don't try to change me in any way You don't own me, don't tie me down 'cause I'd never stay I don't tell you what to say I don't tell you what to do So just let me be myself That's all I ask of you I'm young and I love to be young I'm free and I love to be free To live my life the way I want To say and do whatever I please Aaa-nd don't tell me what to do Oh-hhh don't tell me what to say And ...
John Lennon - Imagine

The greatest song ever recorded. Imagine by John Lennon. "Imagine" is a utopian-themed song by John Lennon, which appears on his 1971 album, Imagine. The song was produced by Phil Spector. In 2004, Rolling Stone magazine voted "Imagine" the third greatest song of all time. Former US president Jimmy Carter said, "In many countries around the world — my wife and I have visited about 125 countries — you hear John Lennon's song 'Imagine' used almost equally with national anthems." In the book Lennon in America, written by Geoffrey Giuliano, Lennon commented that the song was "an anti-religious, anti-nationalistic, anti-conventional, anti-capitalistic song, but because it's sugar-coated, it's accepted." Lennon also described it as "virtually the Communist Manifesto". The lyrics were thought to be inspired by Lennon's hopes for a more peaceful world, though their origins are not known for certain. In 1963 Lennon penned the lyrics to "I'll Get You" with an opening verse of, "Imagine I'm in love with you, it's easy cause I know." The first verse of "Imagine" would seem to be a reworking of this. But the song's refrain may have been partly inspired by Yoko Ono's poetry, in reaction to her childhood in Japan during World War II. According to The Guardian, primordial versions of the song's refrain can be found in her 1965 book Grapefruit, where she penned lines such as, "imagine a raindrop" and "imagine the clouds dripping." Barry Manilow with The Association - Cherish/Windy (w/ Lyrics)

The Association - Cherish/Windy found on the album "The Greatest Songs Of The Sixties' by Barry Manilow LYRICS: Cherish is the word I use to describe All the feeling that I have hiding here for you inside You don't know how many times I've wished that I had told you You don't know how many times I've wished that I could hold you You don't know how many times I've wished that I could mold you into someone who could cherish me as much as I cherish you Perish is the word that more than applies To the hope in my heart each time I realize That I am not gonna be the one to share your dreams That I am not gonna be the one to share your schemes That I am not gonna be the one to share what seems to be the life the you could cherish as much as I do yours Oh I'm beginning to think that man has never found the words that could make you want me That have the right amount of letters, just the right sound that could make you hear, make you see that you are driving me out of my mind Who's peekin' out from under a stairway Calling a name that's lighter than air Who's bending down to give me a rainbow Everyone knows it's windy Who's tripping down the streets of the city Smilin' at everybody she sees Who's reachin' out to capture a moment Everyone knows it's windy And windy has stormy eyes That flash at the sound of lies And windy has wings to fly Above the clouds (Above the clouds) Above the clouds (Above the clouds) Oh I could say I need you But then you'd realize That I want you Just ...
My Best Friend Who's Beautiful. || Chapter Thirty Four.

My Best Friend Who's Beautiful. ________________________ Chapter Thirty Four. ________________________ I pulled the cover off the table, making all the dishes and materials crash together and onto the floor. That will distract a few people for now. Quickly I ran away, to the other side of the room and saw Ever with Justin, dancing to the catchy slow song. I caught a glimpse behind me, most people were crowding around my mess that I made; trying to figure out what happened because they for sure didn't see me run away from the idiotic scheme. I strutted towards the entrance of Ryan's house, particularly to start with my evil, devious plan. Evil to Danielle- but vital to Ever. The front door's bell rang three times, I really did hope it was him waiting outside. - - || Ryan's POV || Her eyes coruscated oddly out of nowhere, while she continued to speak. "I heard Spencer McYerson has abs, did you know that?" I wanted to gag, but I couldn't. "No," I looked around for Kurt, he wasn't in sight at all, "I never heard that Spencer McYerson has abs." Come on Kurt, hurry up with your plan. I hoped it would work, so I didn't need to listen to Danielle's girly conversations anymore. Danielle sighed, "I just wish Jake was here." I didn't really listen to her; then my senses finally flew in and I looked at her. "Jake?" "I wanna beat the shit out of him. He called Ever a slut." She explained, and I looked to my left. There was Jake. - - sorry it's short, hope you like this chapter though ...
