BlackTree Media CEO Jamaal Finkley sits down with two of the stars of action heist thriller Takers, Idris Elba and Hayden Christensen to talk cars and there position as Takers in this world. To create Takers' cast of cops and robbers, the filmmakers filled their eight leading man roles with some of the hottest talent in movies, television and music. Idris Elba, TI, Hayden Christensen, Paul Walker, Chris Brown and Michael Ealy play the suave outlaws, with Matt Dillon and Jay Hernandez representing the long arm of the law. "To have the level of cast we have in this film is really exciting," says Packer. "With that kind of a cast, what can you be but cool? These guys bring it. They have so much swagger. They ooze self-confidence and it all comes across on screen. "It's just an honor to have someone like Matt Dillon anchoring this film," he continues. "As an Academy Award® nominee, he brings a level of gravitas with him, as does our other Oscar® nominee, Marianne Jean-Baptiste. But the actor tells NPR that talk of him potentially landing the part is nothing more than gossip. "It's a rumor," he said on "Morning Edition." "It's a very old rumor. My dad and I were talking about this the other day. I would do it, but I don't want to be called the first black James Bond. Do you understand what I'm saying? Sean Connery wasn't the Scottish James Bond and Daniel Craig wasn't the blue-eyed James Bond. So if I played him, I don't want to be called the black James Bond." As Elba goes on to explain, he didn't come to the States "to play black roles. I just came to play roles." Currently, Elba can be seen in BBC America's hit detective series "Luther," which has earned him an Emmy nomination. But, Elba admits if he were offered the role, he'd "definitely consider it." 'I'd not only get in the cab, but I'd take the taxi driver out of the car, hostage, jump out while it was moving, jump onto a pedal bike that was just past the door as I got on it, and then get onto a plane - on the wing - and land on top of Sony Studios, slide through the air conditioning, and land in the office. She may not get the same critical exposure like her acting colleagues, but she's certainly getting plum and starring roles. After co-producing and playing Etta James in 'Cadillac Records' for Sony BMG, Beyonce will switch gears and try another genre - thriller. According to Variety, Beyonce Knowles, Ali Larter and Idris Elba will star in "Obsessed," a thriller that Screen Gems will put into production this summer. Steve Shill will direct a script by David Loughery. Will ('Stomp The Yard, This Christmas') Packer produces, and Knowles will be exec producer along with her father, Mathew Knowles. In "Obsessed," Elba will play an asset manager who has a knockout wife (Knowles) and thriving career until a temp office worker (Larter) begins stalking him. Screen Gems topper Clint Culpepper is finalizing cast deals, working with Knowles' and Larter's reps to iron out scheduling kinks. Knowles was last seen onscreen in "Dreamgirls," Larter in the Screen Gems films "Resident Evil: Extinction" and "Final Destination," and Elba last appeared in "American Gangster" and 'This Christmas.'
