A collection of the wildest footage, craziest moments and scariest experiences from Islamabad Jeep Club's Rally Team Concordia at the Cholistan Jeep Rally 2012. The Cholistan Jeep Rally organized by TDCP is the biggest and the most prestigious event on the Pakistan offroad and motorsport calendar. The rally was not held last year primarily on account of crowd security concerns and this year it was being eagerly anticipated by enthusiasts and participants. The race saw around 40% of the a total 70 participating vehicles not being able to reach the finish line mainly on account of a major re-design of the old race track across the sands of the Cholistan desert. The rookie Team Concordia with its "FJ Concordia UZi" set out to do something no one though was worth doing or even doable as such: race a restored/modified FJ40 at Cholistan and put up a competitive showing despite low-budgets and second hand parts. While we may not have a podium finish to show for our adventure, together with having qualified 17th out of 70 participants, matched top speed of 150kmph with some of fastest cars and having finished the race and we can pen it down as a significant achievement on our part given limitations. We did gather and share more media footage than perhaps available online on any recent rally in Pakistan. This video attemps to sum up our entire experience making use of Chemical Brother's music as the inspirational sountrack. In the end, while offroad racing all over the world <b>...</b>

Ori Roth and company asked to put together a little something for the Israel Juggling Convention, so I threw this together with the wonderful assistance of my lovely wife and Choji-kun at school. Seeing as I'm going to the British Juggling Convention right before Israel, and given that I'm teaching similar workshops at both gatherings, I thought I would kill two birds with one stone. IJC has set up a langar (emergency food supply) in Islamabad Colony, Sargodha, a village near the river Jhelum devastated by the floods. The langar will dispense packets of cooked rice and potatoes to the victims. A supply chain and standard operating procedures for the exercise have been established, and will be published in a report on the IJC's website, and Facebook Causes page. Yesterday's visit to this village showed us that the area is completely at the mercy of nature. The state's presence is non-existent, and basic services are paralyzed. The floodwater has destroyed people's crops and they are being forced to dig in to the meagre grain reserves that survived the flood. Clean drinking water is also in short supply. For miles, agricultural land is choked with water, and there is no presence of relief agencies, NGOs or the government. While the efforts of IJC are modest, we call out to all Pakistanis to take charge of this disaster, and support an initiative of their choice. The people affected by these floods have laboured for centuries to produce the food that forms our daily consumption - sugar, rice, wheat, fruit, and cotton. This time , they ned us. The Islamabad Jeep Club motivated and helped the local people of Anakar Village in Kalam, Swat to build a much needed bridge that would connect them to the rest of the country. The previous bridge had been washed away in the recent devastating floods. The new bridge is 70 feet long and 12 feet wide. It has been built by the people of Anakar using mostly local materials and without any machinery. Only the galvanized wire was brought in from outside. The structure, built within a month, is capable of bearing weight of a fully loaded truck. More on www.ijc.com.pk
