Finally! I upgrade the 4GB of RAM I already have installed to 12GB by adding 8GB of RAM that I bought off of my friend. It definitely made a huge speed improvement in rendering in Final Cut X because it utilizes the CPU much more efficiently.

So i got myself 2 x4gb ram things to put in my mac, taking the total ram up to 12gb. i got my memory from Mr Memory who posted out the ram stick things to me and cost me a total of £36. Here in this video i show you how i install them and also the geekbench performance test results before and after. Hope this helps.
