I found a buyer for my XPS 730x who would pay $150 less than what I originally paid for (because I used a 25% off discount) and accepted his offer. I picked up the Quad Core 2.93 GHz version (not the Octo-core) Nehalem model with 6 gigs of RAM, 1 TB Hard Drive and the ATI Radeon 4870 Graphics Card. I received it October 1st and owned it for about two weeks until Apple suddenly released this monster i7 iMac. I knew there was going to be a mild design and clock speed update coming, but I was not aware they were going to pull the trigger with adding desktop components. I looked up the price and my jaw dropped. Literally almost IDENTICAL specifications as the Mac Pro which I paid around $3500 for. With this iMac though, I was paying over $1200 less as this was priced at $2250 (with education discount). I called up Apple asking if I could return my Mac Pro. They allowed me to return it, and THEY paid for the return shipping and didn't make me <b>...</b>

A heavy SASR (Special Application Scoped Rifle), it is used by many units and armies around the world. It is also called the "Light Fifty" for its .50 caliber BMG (12.7 mm) chambering. The weapon is found in two variants—the original M82A1 (and A3) and the bullpup M82A2. The M82A2 is no longer manufactured, though the XM500 can be seen as its successor. The XM107 was originally intended to be a bolt-action sniper rifle, and it was selected by the US Army in a competition between such weapons. However, the decision was made that the US Army did not, in fact, require such a weapon. The rifle originally selected under the trials to be the XM107 was the Barrett M95. Then the Army decided on the Barrett M82, a semi-automatic rifle. I picked this beast up earlier today from my local Apple store in Glasgow. They only had a limited amount of models on display in-store - the big 27"re and later in the afternoon - they had a few more up on display. The model which I got is the base line iMac 21.5". Really impressed with this iMac - the screen, the whole concept is just amazing. Bare in mind, I have the 2009 MBP - which is equally as good. If you've got dust behind the glass on an iMac, here's how to remove it easily for cleaning. I've tried getting an answer from Apple about whether this voids the warranty. The answer was "err..." so you should assume that this DOES void the warranty. That being said, I don't know how anyone would know that you'd removed the screen, so let's just keep it to ourselves shall we? ;o) Do this at your own risk. There's only one potential hazard that I can imagine (and no-one has reported it being a problem) - the screen cover is held in place with magnets and 4 "locator pins" which fit into holes around the LCD. If you were to pull the screen cover away from the top only and keep going while leaving the bottom in place, you might be able to bend the bottom locator pin. However, you'd have to apply considerable force and thus you'd have to be a doofus - in which case you wouldn't own a Mac in the first place. Only Windows users are doofii. (Doofii is the plural of Doofus). Just take your time, be gentle and you'll be fine. Cheers, Ian
