The night, which is better than one thousand months (83 years) is marked not in joy and happiness -- rather in grief and tears. The Islamic Republic of Iran is assisting thousands of Somali displaced persons in Somalia who are suffering from an unprecedented deadly drought that has claimed the lives of thousands and displaced millions of others in what the UN aid agencies term as the worst to have ever befallen the Horn of African Nation. The Somali capital Mogadishu itself witnessed the full wrath of the drought with almost one million displaced persons flocking the capital Mogadishu where Islamic countries had their bases and were assisting millions of drought ravaged Somali civilians with food aid and medicine. Imam Khomeini Relief Foundation officially opened up its offices in the war-torn capital as a part of the ongoing Iran's assistance to the people of Somalia. The foundation alongside the Islamic Republic Red Crescent team have so far assisted in feeding thousands of people in more than ten camps under their management as well as treated thousands suffering from ill health. The Foundation on Wednesday distributed sewing machines to Somali women in Hamar Wayne district in Mogadishu so as to create employment opportunities for the Somali people. The beneficiaries of the aid thanked the Islamic Republic for the aid. The Foundation also plans to sponsor Quran learning centers in Mogadishu in a bid to foster the knowledge of Islam to the Somali youth who have been forces to endure civil war for more than two decades now. In a meeting with disabled war veterans of the Sacred Defense Era and their families, Ayatollah Khamenei the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution described disabled war veterans as symbols of self-sacrifice. The Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution expressed his respect for martyrs of the Sacred Defense Era and reiterated that self-sacrifice of war veterans is in a sense more valuable than martyrdom because they have to face constant sufferings and problems which require piety and patience. He added that because of these problems, God will reward disabled war veterans more. Ayatollah Khamenei said that giving up a lifetime of health and welfare for the sake of Islam and the Revolution is a very lucrative deal with God and that one cannot understand and describe the constant and long-lasting patience of the families of disabled war veterans. His Eminence added that respecting war veterans is necessary and that it manifests the genuine meaning of self-sacrifice in society. His Eminence reiterated that God has promised in the Holy Quran to reward disabled war veterans for every moment of their patience. The meeting was held on the occasion of Sacred Defense Week to mark the eight-year war which was imposed on Iran by the Iraqi regime in 1980.

In community of the people of Sunnah this would instantly be considered blasphemy and no one would dare to say anything like this publically. Sadly, no religious Shia authority has condemned this. In the video, 1- Shia sheikh says that Jesus peace be upon him would be honored to be a slave of Ali may Allah be pleased with him. An extreme overpraising position.. and a blasphemous insult to Jesus Christ, the messenger of Allah, peace be upon him. 2- Shia sheikh insisting on his position, and even worse, saying the so-called infallible Imams are better than all prophets! When this was pointed out by Sunnis as a belief in their books, they'd deny it, or deny that its preached. But when it IS preached, you never see any condemnation by religious Shia authorities ( Marji's) , and Shia TV channels find no problem in broadcasting.
