My personal favorite from the album "Metropolis Pt. 2: Scenes from a Memory". Scene Four: Beyond This Life We learn the newspaper account of what happened in 1928. The story is that an anonymous witness heard a horrifying sound and upon reaching the scene of the sound discovered a woman who'd been shot dead, and the shooter standing over her. The witness tried to help, but the man shot himself next. The newspaper account talks of a sad close to a broken love affair. This indicates that the victim and the murderer are identified as previous or maybe even current lovers. The paper goes on to explain that Victoria and her lover had recently broken up due to his decadent lifestyle; it's later suggested that gambling and/or drug addiction might be of significance. Julian later drops a liquor bottle in scene 9, so it's possible his habit was drinking. It's also indicated that Victoria would have taken him back if he'd straighten up his lifestyle. The article speculates that the murder may have been premeditated. Next we read an account of the physical evidence at the scene. There is evidence of a 'violent struggle' and a switchblade is found. The switchblade causes some confusion, because the victim is a young girl and typically you wouldn't expect a young girl in 1928 to be carrying a switchblade, unless she was anticipating a need to defend herself. Also found, in the killer's pocket, is a written note. It clearly reads that Victoria's lover would rather take his own life <b>...</b>

The indicator, which was developed by Gerald Appel, is constructed by taking a 12 period exponential moving average of a financial instrument and subtracting its 26 period exponential moving average. This line is then plotted below the price chart and fluctuates above and below a center line which is placed at zero. Then a 9 period EMA of the MACD line is normally plotted along with the MACD line and used as a signal of potential trading opportunities in the stock, futures and forex markets. So when the MACD line is above zero this indicates that the 12 period exponential moving average is trading above the 26 period exponential moving averages. When the MACD line is below zero this indicates that the 12 period exponential moving average is below the 26 period exponential moving average. The "E" in the model number indicates that the Victrola is fitted with a synchronous A/C motor instead of a wind-up motor. The machine has a full "orthophonic" playback system (for electrically-recorded records) including the special orthophonic sound box with a duralumin diaphragm and a folded exponential horn inside of the cabinet. Although the gigantic Credenza Victrola produced deeper bass, the Granada had the most accurate overall frequency response of all the acoustic Orthophonic Victrolas. The serial number indicates that this machine was probably manufactured in 1926. I shoot my video with a Sony Digital 8 format camera. For audio, I use a Shure SM-57 microphone on a stand placed about 4 feet in front of the Victrola horn. I use "soft tone" needles to keep from overloading the microphone. The mic is plugged directly into the video camera. The videos are edited with Windows Movie Maker. I use Sound Forge 9 to clean up the audio, but don't worry -- you're hearing the record exactly as the Victrola plays it!
