Indigenous People

There are about 400 million indigenous people in the world. They vary widely in culture, religion, social life and economic orginazation. Because of disease, distruction of thier cultural life, and open conflict many groups have been destroyed. Ninety of Brazil's 270 indigenous groups have already been destroyed. If the rights of indigenous people are not protected, many more will quietly disappear. =( the Ngobe people of Panama are in brink of distruction! The Panamanian government and an American Company are building a dam that will flood the Ngobe's territory. They have brought in police to beat protesters and are bulldozing homes. These Ngobe communities have only weeks to exist unless action is taken now. They need your help. Please visit www.culturalsurvival.org to find out how you could help.

Indigenous People in Ecuador Sue Over Amazon Pollution

In 1992, the Texaco Oil Company left Ecuador after nearly 30 years. The next year, a lawsuit was filed against the corporation on behalf of 30000 indigenous people, alleging that Texaco dangerously polluted their land and water. The on-going legal battle is the subject of a documentary called "Crude." As VOA's Rosanne Skirble reports, "Crude" premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in January and had its commercial release earlier this month.

The White Road - Visions of the Indigenous People of the Americas - 2012 (trailer)

Trailer of the documentary film "The White Road - Visions of the Indigenous People of the Americas" For the complete movie visit www.the-white-road.com . For the first time people from other cultures were invited to the reunion of elders, indigenous priests and shamans from North and South America in Merida on the Mexican pensinsula of Yucatán. We immerse into the world of the Maya with their fascinating temple grounds, their complex calendar-system and the mysterious crystal skulls. In mutual rituals and ceremonies - like the unification of the condor and eagle in Mayapan or the equinox ceremony in Chichen Itza - we follow the indigenous people - step by step - on the White Road - the spiritual path of the Maya - that leads us to unison with nature and the divine. Is mankind confronted with a similar decision as the eagle in an Indian legend, who must undergo a radical renewal in order to survive? The documentary shows the messages and wisdom of the ancient precolumbian cultures. In contrast to Western philosophy of life that draws ego limits, these cultures have the gift of confiding in themselves and in the entire creation. They greet each other with „In lak'ech, a lak'en meaning „I am in you, and you are in me. The indigenous people demand of humanity to return to the essence. For them, this essence is nature. It is a return to the wisdom of our earth. The film reflects in a very powerful way the vision of fulfillment of the ancient prophecies of the indigenous people ...

BNP Haters Beware, The British People Are Waking Up

'BNP Haters Beware, The British People Are Waking' video is back, this time as an edited and improved version to comply with YT community guidelines. TheBritish National Party believes in telling the truth, even if it is sometimes uncomfortable to hear or offensive to those who would rather bury their heads in the sand than face real problems in our society. But while we often pass quite critical comment on the impact of immigration, multi-culturalism and alien religions on the indigenous people of our lands, we have no animosity towards immigrants, their descendants or the followers of non-native religions. Nor do we intend to encourage others to feel such animosity, or believe that anything we have to say is likely to 'stir up hatred' against anyone. In fact, we believe that by providing a peaceful and Constitutional outlet for the anger and the frustration felt by millions of our people over the undemocratic transformation of our country by our political masters, the BNP actually defuses tensions. Where there is 'hate' we seek to turn it into righteous anger and political action against the only people who deserve to be hated - the politicians who use our taxes to turn our country into a place where we often feel like strangers in our own land. www.bnp.org.uk -YOUR QUESTIONS ANSWERED BY THE BNP - bnp.org.uk -YOUR QUESTIONS ANSWERED BY THE BNP -

A tribute to the Indigenous people of Australia

I made this video for the Indigenous people of Australia. (RACIST & DEROGATORY COMMENTS AGAINST THE INDIGENOUS PEOPLE OF AUSTRALIA WILL NOT BE TOLERATED UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES.COMMENTS WILL BE REMOVED & OFFENDERS BLOCKED) After researching the Indigenous people I have found that they have had a rough ride but are a very resilient people & more needs to be known about them. I have just put some pics together randomly & found a gnarly song which has a wicked bass riff. I think the song is called We Have Survived by No Fixed Address. When I heard this song I thought it had to be put together with the Indigenous people especially regarding protest & resistance. If any Indigenous Australians are offended by this clip please let me know & I will take it down. Much respect to the Indigenous people of Australia. The oldest living culture on earth.

FMG Great Native Title Swindle Part 1

Caught in the act - this is a record of a supposed 'native title' meeting staged by the iron ore miner, Fortescue Metals Group (FMG). It shows how FMG, its agents, a lawyer and an opportunist splinter faction tried to destroy the unity of the Yindjibarndi people and give open slather to FMG for its Solomon Hub project. The video demonstrates the unscrupulous actions of a miner trying to bully traditional owners into a land use 'Agreement' that will see massive disturbance of country and will swindle several generations of Yindjibarndi people.

ATTEMPTED CULTURAL GENOCIDE ON NATIVE AMERICAN PEOPLE: (2009 -Thunder Bay, Ontario)

UPDATE: May 2009, Thunder Bay, Ontario has allowed the forced hair cutting of a 7 yr old little First Nation boy by a teacher's aid at McKellar Park Central Public School. They never fired the teacher's aide. In fact, "the Crown" says it was not that big of a deal. This is really sick, cruel, hateful, and rude. Many children forced to go to these schools were abused in many ways, to include rape, sexual molestation, beatings, and murder. This was taken from scenes of Steven Spielberg's Into the West but it is based on true events. In reality, it was worse than what was shown in the movie.
