June 7th, 1944 After a heavy day of fighting to get off the beach, reinforced positions around Colleville sur Mer halted our advance inland. This video was taken from a multiplayer sesion of Pac's mission "D-Day+1". This is the second part of the mission Invasion that has been split into two seperate missions to enhance performance and playability. The objectives follow the real advances made by the 1st infantry division during the first few days of Operation Overlord. Once every decade, this natural phenomenon occurs. Torrential rains swell Queensland rivers 1000km away, causing water to flow all the way to the sand dunes of central Australia. Lake Eyre, Australia's biggest lake, blooms with abundance and draws an explosion of new life. For the first time since 1974, the usually barren and dry desert comes alive as water flows in one of Australia's hotspots for native animal extinctions. Here, small desert dwelling animals cling to survival. AWC owns and manages Kalamurina, a sanctuary that adjoins Lake Eyre. At 670000 hectares, it is the largest non-govt protected area in Australia, and one of the largest in the world.
