Mental Institutions Today

This is a video that I shot for my project for my Abnormal Psychology class. It is about my ex boyfriend and his experience in the psych ward (the same ex that I did the video "Sweet Redemption" on). It's 10 minutes long, so if you watch it all, you're awesome. Bad background noise during parts of it. I'm not wealthy enough to get the software to remove stuff like that.

Adam Rickwood & The Medomsley Heroes FULL DOCUMENTARY

ADAM RICKWOOD & THE MEDOMSLEY HEROES This group of men 'The Medomsley Heroes', primarily from NE England, were all sexually abused by senior prison officer 'Neville Husband' back in the 70s. For more than seven years the survivors sought an apology and compensation from the Home Office for their horrific abuse whilst in the care of Medomsley Young Offenders Institution. All the victims interviewed felt they were pressurised into settling their claims out of court, but continue to push for a public enquiry. (Neville Husband served 8 years out of a 10-year sentence in prison for the offence, he was released in October 2009 and died August 2010). Pie and Mash Films, based in SE London is an independent film company working with the victims. Acclaimed Film director Bill Maloney, who has himself come forward as a former victim of institutional abuse, was approached by the Medomsley Heroes to tell their stories of abuse at the hands of the 'Establishment'. They trusted Bill to allow them to tell the truth with freedom of speech and emotions and without the sanitisation imposed by major broadcasters. Adam Rickwood brings the story up to date. During his investigations Bill Maloney also discovered that just five years ago the youngest child to die in custody, Adam Rickwood (14) allegedly committed suicide at the same detention centre - now under the name of Hassockfield STC. Bill built a bond with Carol Pounder, Adam's Mother, and with Adam's family and friends who do not believe ...

Crime Patrol - The Children of education - Episode 127

Religion and education are two interconnected institutions, but what happens when these institutions are misused? What take on increasing crime by children does this show bring? How is the education system at fault, or is it just the education system that we talk about here? CRIME PATROL is a reality series. However the case presentation would be a story telling form that would have the interest of a fiction drama presentation. The prelude and finale to the case would make the case a complete story. Interactions with the analysts on the show would be treated with the audience interest point of view keeping it only as much as essential to the story telling. Going beyond the drama of police action in a crime situation, the show also aims to look into the why behind a crime. Police action on one hand gives the show the edge of how the law keepers bring the culprits to book or stop a crime from being committed. On the other hand, the show will also be looking at the sociological aspect behind a crime- both from the victim as well as the criminals side. The cases would be driven by cameras moving along with the police force from the time a crime is reported or when the police receive a call till the point the case is brought to a logical conclusion in the police records for further movement in the court of law. As such the police force is deemed to be the law keeper and not the justice authority.

The Power of Paper

One of the most common ways government and corporate institutions rob, cheat and control us is with something called "default contracts". Through our "silence" they presume authority to own us, our property, our wealth and our privacy. Sadly, our courts and statutes actually support this due to some odd contents of the Uniform Commercial Code. This video demonstrates one way to remedy those unintended "obligations." Learn more about this by going to www.startpage.com and entering the search phrase "How to write an affidavit." Freedom-oriented videos on YouTube tend to attract a lot of anonymous institutional and government "boiler room" impostors, disruptors and agitators. These sponsored social network terrorists use hate speech, profanity, racism, name-calling and contrived insults to destroy and marginalize intellectual discussions about freedom on social networks. Who would be opposed to individual empowerment and freedom? The institutions who take and thrive on the earnings and productivity of private individuals and taxpayers. Those institutions are also the ones with the resources to conduct those boiler room operations. For that reason comments on this video are screened. Those who would call that "censorship" are welcome to create their own YouTube pages and be as un"censored" as they wish. This video was not produced by legal experts or professional advisers. It is layman's opinion intended only to provoke thought. Use these principals at your own risk.

Majaz Lakhnawi was a romantic revolutionary poet of who composed the famous anthem (tarana) of Aligarh Muslim University. When Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru visited Aligarh Muslim University, he enquired the students and authorities about their college song or something like it. Having got no concrete answer, he expressed his surprise by saying, "It is very strange that a prestigious university as AMU doesn't have its own college song. " These remarks put a student to unrest and he spent a restless night on this idea. The very next morning, he was ready with a masterpiece which went on to be reckoned as AMU Tarana after being sung at the Strachey Hall for the first time. The Magdalene Laundries

UPDATE: Ireland's Commission to Inquire into Child Abuse has released a damming report on abuse in reformatories (these 'schools' were also tax-supported), including Magdelene Laundries, run by the Catholic Church in Ireland. The report found abuse was edemic and spread throughout all of the institutions. Victims of the abuse have been lobbying for an investigation for many years, and although the report is detailed the names of abusers are missing from it. To read the Inquiry's report follow this link: www.childabusecommission.ie Magdalene Asylums were institutions for so-called "fallen" women, most of them operated by different orders of the Roman Catholic Church. In most asylums, the inmates were required to undertake hard physical labour such as laundry work. In Ireland, such asylums were known as Magdalene Laundries. It has been estimated that 30000 women were admitted during the 150-year history of these institutions, often against their will. The last Magdalene Asylum in Ireland closed on September 25, 1996. How the Stock Market Works - Cartoon Tutorial - Economics and Investing Video (1952)

thefilmarchive.org A stock market or equity market is a public (a loose network of economic transactions, not a physical facility or discrete) entity for the trading of company stock (shares) and derivatives at an agreed price; these are securities listed on a stock exchange as well as those only traded privately. The size of the world stock market was estimated at about $36.6 trillion at the start of October 2008. The total world derivatives market has been estimated at about $791 trillion face or nominal value, 11 times the size of the entire world economy. The value of the derivatives market, because it is stated in terms of notional values, cannot be directly compared to a stock or a fixed income security, which traditionally refers to an actual value. Moreover, the vast majority of derivatives 'cancel' each other out (ie, a derivative 'bet' on an event occurring is offset by a comparable derivative 'bet' on the event not occurring). Many such relatively illiquid securities are valued as marked to model, rather than an actual market price. The stocks are listed and traded on stock exchanges which are entities of a corporation or mutual organization specialized in the business of bringing buyers and sellers of the organizations to a listing of stocks and securities together. The largest stock market in the United States, by market cap, is the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE). In Canada, the largest stock market is the Toronto Stock Exchange.
