"Traditionally (and you can see this in older couples) the Japanese male would walk two or three steps ahead of the female. It was very rare to see married couples (and even courting couples) walking side by side. In fact, at that period (edo through meiji) the type of sleeve a woman had on her Kimono dictated whether or not she was married. Tomosode kimono were typically wore by married women, and had a tighter sleeve that was closer to the arm. Furisode in contrast were worn by unmarried girls. Since Miko are always unmarried young women, thus their kimono are of the furisode type; but I'm starting to get off track now. What you're talking about in the video actually traces back to the post ww2 period. Instead of getting tabs for this one I tried to sound it out as best as I could. Never before in my life have I faced such a daunting task. I actually am very pleased with the fruits of my labor, I think it sounds rather close and pretty good. For this video I found my first electric guitar (now my sister's) and decided to use it in this cover as Joe plays a similar Stratocaster style guitar, so I wanted this to sound as genuine as possible, which suprisingly it did. I'm very happy with the tone it produced and will probably use it again when I re-do Some Kind of Cadwallader (which I'll get to God knows when) Anyways, it's not exact and yeah I made mistakes, but I present my cover of quite possibly my favorite Algernon Cadwallader song I've ever heard. In this video, I discuss some of my experiences as a Gap employee dealing with retaliation from management at my store including Corporate. In the latter part of this description section, I will try to make updates. As of now, I've just transferred to yet another store. For what it's worth, I certainly believe there are those, including from Corporate, who care about these kinds of issues - and not just about those "wierd" and "crazy" disgruntled employees who complain. I also believe there are those, especially from Corporate, who are on a highway to Hell to terminate my position asap. I certainly believe that a number of Gap employees from different areas of the company have gone through worse issues in dealing with managment and corporate than I what I've been through - no doubt. I'd like to share this video with other Gap employees, younger and older, to help inspire those who may feel that they are dealing with similar issues from this company to use their own voice or YouTube channel-- even if it's anonymous. And as much as I expect some people from Gap stores and from Corporate to basically perceive this kind of video as petty and as coming from a disgruntled employee -- who they'd rather terminate asap -- I will admit that I AM disgruntled over the management of my grievances for almost a year, but I don't consider this issue petty at all.
