Nectar has two modes of operation: Mixing and Tracking. In Mixing mode, some modules introduce latency so that the algorithms can look ahead to incoming samples in order to raise their processing quality. In Tracking mode, Nectar keeps latency to a minimum by eliminating these look-ahead functions. Tracking mode also lowers overall CPU usage. Use Mixing mode while mixing when latency can be compensated for, and tracking mode while recording or other times when you need lower latency and CPU usage. Carvin's founder, Lowell C. Kiesel founded Carvin over 60 years ago. Mr. Kiesel was a master at the Hawaiian Steel guitar and was featured on the radio back in the 1930's. Lowell passed away at the end of 2009 at the age of 94. We are restoring his collection of Lp's that he recorded over the years. No master tapes are available so we are restoring the music using original vinyl pressings and using Izotope RX to remove all clicks, crackles, pops, hiss and noise.
