i made this because im a huge jani lane fan. i was totally shocked and sadden that my hero and my idle passed away earlier last night. i looked up to him ever since i could talk. he was so talented and he could write songs like no other. his voice was the best of his day and his music got me through some rough times in my life. i know he will be missed because theres alot of fans out there that thought alot of him and loved him. so jani this one's for you.

Jani lane was one of the 1980's most influential song writters and preformers. Writing songs such as cherry pie, down boys, heaven and many more. His untimely death has hit the rock community hard. Jani Lane was found dead Thursday in a Woodland Hills California Hotel very close to his Woodland Hills home. Jani was the vocalist of the mega sinsation Rock Band Warrant. Jani was known in the Rock community as one of the great Rock writters of the 1980's, writting hits such as 'Cherry Pie' and 'Heaven' were among the hits the group had with songs Jani Lane wrote. With his long blond hair and tight leather outfits, he embodied the excess of 1980s 'hair metal' rock bands. Jani was just 47 years old. Lane was found dead Thursday evening in a Woodland Hills hotel, said Sara Faden, a Los Angeles police officer. The cause of death was not known and an autopsy was scheduled. Fans of '80s glam-metal band Warrant are mourning lead singer Jani Lane, who has passed away at 47. Best known for writing the song "Cherry Pie," Lane worried the hit single might eclipse everything else he accomplished as a musician. He once told VH1, "Everything about me is 'Cherry Pie.' I'm the 'Cherry Pie' guy. I could shoot myself in the fucking head for writing that song." Lane eventually came to terms with the song, telling metal website Blabbermouth in 2007, "Iapos;m happy as a clam to have written a song that is still being played and still dug by so many people."
