I'm a huge fan of Motorsports! I grew up with a Father that liked nothing more than building, fixing and polishing cars and motorcycles. On the weekends, we would watch all types of Motorsports on TV like Formula 1, Nascar (his thing, not mine lol) MotoGP and my personal favorite, World Rally Championship. I'm also a big fan of Nissan cars. I owned 3 Nissan 240SX and spent a lot of time doing the same thing as my Dad. Building, fixing and polishing my cars and my Suzuki motorbike. When I came to Japan, I was already missing the freedom to get in my car or hope on my motorbike. I also didn't know how to watch any motorsport on TV. A multiple car crash in Japan has created an estimated £2m of scrap metal. Twelve of the 14 cars involved in the accident near Shimonoseki were supercars - including eight Ferraris, two Mercedes and a Lamborghini. The accident caused £2m of scrap metal (Pic: Kyodo News) Reports suggest the crash happened after a Mercedes was driven on the wrong side of the road on the Chugoku expressway. Japanese newspaper The Daily Yomiuri said 10 people were taken to hospital with minor injuries. The group of drivers was reportedly made up of self-employed "car enthusiasts", who were travelling from Kyushu to Hiroshima. Pictures of the scene show the motorway littered with debris from the damaged cars. Among the vehicles were two Ferrari F430s, two 360 Modenas, two F355s, a Lamborghini Diablo and a Nissan GTR.

"VIP" (pronounced like whip or zip... not VIP) is the Japanese way of dressing cars up... body kits, dropped suspension, HID fog lights, custom headlights, wood and leather interiors, big rims and low profile tyres...all that. Fabulous or Junction Produce are big names in the VIP genre. Although some people try to VIP little cars, generally speaking VIP cars are big body sedans with larger engines, are luxurious and chunky looking. I think personally companies like Brabus and Lorinser styled Merceds would be considered "VIP" and are probably part of the influence behind the genre. Any large sedan can be "VIPPED"... though the Japanese tend to go for Japanese sedans or cars like Jaguar and Mercedes Benz. The video is in Japanese however, it is back to back VIP cars, so you can enjoy the view and forget the words. The people are talking about why they decided to style their cars VIP, how they did it, which products and styling comapnies they used etc... all kind of irrelevant unless you live in Japan and want to do the same. We camped out on Saturday. --got a chance to do touring laps, both, Saturday and Sunday. Towards the end you'll see our Datsun 710 and FB rx-7. Video was being shot from a Corolla TE31. I had to shorten the vid a little bit, so some of the music is out of sync to where it was supposed to be. Japfest, Europe's biggest and best Japanese car show has celebrated its tenth anniversary in some style. With record crowds, blazing sunshine, and the very best in Japanese car culture, the first event in the Adrian Flux Auto Series kicked off the season with a bang on Saturday 12th May. Castle Combe once again played host the orimental action, and the Wiltshire circuit was transformed into a small corner of Japan.
