Choreography by Jiří Kylián | Premiered in March 2006 | Lucent Danstheater, The Hague | Holland. In the much praised Tar and Feathers, a dancing poem unfolds in a surrealistic world. Six dancers balance on the verge between subconsciousness and consciousness, between a white and a black world. Fragments of music from the piano concerto 'Jeunehomme' by Mozart ripple through the theatre. Jiří Kylián's voice sounds, reciting from his source of inspiration: 'What is the word', the poem Irish author Samuel Beckett wrote on his deathbed.
