Quite a lot has changed over seven days. 2 of the Top 3 songs from last week aren't even in the Top 10 this week. Instead, 4 of the Top 5 songs are debuts. 5 of the Top 10 are debuts. Ever since the end of 2010, the LMN Charts have been heavily lopsided towards Visual Kei and J Rock. I love the categories/genres so it makes sense, but that doesn't mean I hate J-Pop. For me, only the truly legitimately good J-Pop deserve to be on the chart. Kinki Kids and Morning Musume both qualify. To start off, Morning Musume is clean. 15 Years later, with a complete overhaul in its members, it's still following the theme it originally set out to be. Now, some of their recent songs have been boring, but Only You would be an exception. Kinki Kids pulled off a reverse formula. The new song "Time" is drastically different in style (at least in my opinion) compared to most of their other songs. The theme itself is totally different, but it's somehow still amazing. On the Visual Kei side, all four songs that were Previewed last week made it on. Do any of them have what it takes to dethrone Vistlip? There is only one way to find out, and that is not by fastforwarding. TM Revolution hasn't been on the LMN Charts in forever, but their latest song "FLAGS" set to release next week impresses me to no end. One last note: the new song Flower by Atsuko Maeda is the real deal. It's in the Previews, check it out. 9 Debuts on the week - with some J-Pop making the cut. Thing is, I still can't come to terms with the mainstream J-Pop songs that are currently hogging the Oricon and other charts alike. A breath of fresh air perhaps with Twill, Alice, and nao. The only exception is Atsuko Maeda, but I honestly like that song and have nothing against it so. Back to Visual Kei though. So I'm assuming NO ONE expected the Top 3 to be the way it turned out to be for the week. What can I say, one particular band making a debut in the Top 3 highly impressed me with that latest song of theirs. And, you know, God will be taking back his stand in royalty - if you know what I mean (if not, just watch the Countdown). One additional note before I get into the Previews: BAELSCOPE is awesome. One of the most underrated groups out there, this new song is amazing and I am absolutely bummed that they didn't make a PV for it. And lastly with the Previews. New DaizyStripper off of the latest album release "BLESS" (happening 06/29) is freaking marvelous. I thought "KISS YOU" was good but forget it, this is amazing! And the new L'Arc~en~Ciel - it's been a while since their songs really captivated me but here we go. ICe0AGe - if you haven't heard of them, check them out. This would be their second single release, and showing a lot of promise in the future. Lastly, alan's song is quite nostalgic to my mind. It reminisces the old days - you just don't get a lot of J-Pop artists releasing this kind of gem in 2011 <b>...</b>
