LMN J Music Top 30 Countdown 06.09.2011

Quite a lot has changed over seven days. 2 of the Top 3 songs from last week aren't even in the Top 10 this week. Instead, 4 of the Top 5 songs are debuts. 5 of the Top 10 are debuts. Ever since the end of 2010, the LMN Charts have been heavily lopsided towards Visual Kei and J Rock. I love the categories/genres so it makes sense, but that doesn't mean I hate J-Pop. For me, only the truly legitimately good J-Pop deserve to be on the chart. Kinki Kids and Morning Musume both qualify. To start off, Morning Musume is clean. 15 Years later, with a complete overhaul in its members, it's still following the theme it originally set out to be. Now, some of their recent songs have been boring, but Only You would be an exception. Kinki Kids pulled off a reverse formula. The new song "Time" is drastically different in style (at least in my opinion) compared to most of their other songs. The theme itself is totally different, but it's somehow still amazing. On the Visual Kei side, all four songs that were Previewed last week made it on. Do any of them have what it takes to dethrone Vistlip? There is only one way to find out, and that is not by fastforwarding. TM Revolution hasn't been on the LMN Charts in forever, but their latest song "FLAGS" set to release next week impresses me to no end. One last note: the new song Flower by Atsuko Maeda is the real deal. It's in the Previews, check it out.
