"Job Creation For Dummies" by Old Fart Rants

It's no coincidence that unemployment is at an all time high at the same time corporate profits are too. The elite rich have been slowly robbing the middle class over the last 3 decades. The last thing these people need, or deserve, is more tax cuts. Giving rich people more money to sit on will NOT create jobs. Anybody who says it does is a liar, and anybody who thinks it does is an idiot. The reason there are no jobs is because nobody has any friggin' money to buy anything! And when customers can't afford to buy things, no business in their right mind is going to expand and hire more people when they don't even have enough customers buying their products right now! The last time America was truly prosperous the rich were paying 90% taxes. 3 times what they do today! The only thing that's gonna fix the economy is raising taxes on the rich and closing loopholes for big corporations so they either have to invest their record breaking profits in America, or hand it over to the government and let them do it. We have to clean house in 2012 -- there's more of us than there are of them so there's no excuse for not taking them out. We need to do what the people of Wisconsin are doing -- getting in the faces of the neocons who are trying to screw us, recall them, and kick them out of office!

Italy Moves to Satisfy Creditors

This is the VOA Special English Economics Report, from voaspecialenglish.com | http The economic situation in Italy is worrying investors and may have cost its prime minister his job. Like Greece, Italy is facing pressure to make unpopular cuts in government spending. Silvio Berlusconi sought to enact measures meant to satisfy his country's creditors. On early November eighth, Mr. Berlusconi won a budget vote in Italy's lower house of parliament. But the prime minister lost something else. A majority of lawmakers in the lower house refused to vote. It appeared Mr. Berlusconi had lost their support. He announced that he would resign after parliament passed budget cutting measures. Italian government debt is about one hundred twenty percent the size of the country's economy. That is second only to Greece in Europe. Greece, Ireland and Portugal have all required rescue loans to help them pay creditors. But unlike those nations, Italy has the third largest economy using the euro. And it is among the ten largest economies in the world. On November seventh, European finance ministers met in Brussels to discuss the deepening debt crisis among nations using the euro. European Union Economic and Monetary Affairs Commissioner Olli Rehn said Italy needed to enact reforms. "[It is] essential now that Italy will stick to its fiscal targets, ensure their implementation and intensify the structural reforms that can boost growth and job creation." Italy recently faced an increase in ...

The Day After the Dollar Crashes Damon Vickers Coast to Coast am 09:08:2011.mov

www.facebook.com www.amazon.com www.coasttocoastam.com 2nd Hour guest, chief investment officer Damon Vickers offered an alternative plan to Obama's: We need for the government to fund research that produces new breakthroughs and patents that are domiciled in a US-based corporation that must hire US workers. In return, this corporation would be given preferential tax treatment for a period of 30 years. This is a smart way to use the tax code to benefit entrepreneurship, America's inventiveness, and job creation, he said. There are some good elements to Obama's proposal but they are just short term fixes, he added.

Share this on Facebook: on.fb.me Tweet it: tiny.cc In the debate of job creation and how best to pursue it as a policy goal, one point is forgotten: Government doesn't create jobs.
