TPMtv: John McCain vs. The Video Tape

2008 Republican presidential candidate Senator John McCain (R-AZ) went on Meet the Press Sunday to debate the war in Iraq with Senator John Kerry (D-MA). And what a show it was. With McCain's deluge of devastating points and dizzying rhetorical takedowns, Kerry was clearly no match. But the real contest was the debate between McCain and videographic evidence of statements made previously in the week. We match the two toe-to-toe, and let the viewer decide the ultimate debate champion.

TPMtv: Dazed and Confused

Your Daily Politics Video Blog: To us, the presidential race reached a turning point last week when John McCain opted for a campaign of denigration employing racial stereotypes, sexualized talking points for surrogates (Obama as "Internet date") and copious ridicule. It's made the curve that much of the media still uses to grade McCain's more obvious shortcomings all the more conspicuous and troubling.

Timeline shows Bush, McCain warning Dems of financial and housing crisis; meltdown

The Bush Admin and Senator McCain warned repeatedly about Fanny Mae and Freddy Mac and what thus became the 2008 financial crisis -- starting in 2002 (and actually even earlier -- in the Clinton and Carter White Houses. Democrats resisted and kept to their party line, extending loans to people who couldn't afford them -- just like you would expect of socialists. Ralph Nader vs. Corporate America Occupy Wall Street Explained

Ralph Nader interviewed during the Republican National Convention. Don't be fooled, there are more choices than just the two corporate run parties. A vote for the republican or democratic party is a wasted vote. Both parties are the same. They both want to continue to expand our military. We do not have a democracy when independants and third parties are censored in the media. It is essentially a 2 party system and that's unconstitutional. Our policy of global intervention is the single most important issue worldwide and it is completely off the table for democrats and republicans. America is broke because we are policing and occupying the world. History proves that all empires fall. Let's stop it before it destroys us. Ralph Nader will be on the ballot in 45 states. If he's not on the ballot in your state, simply write his name in. Ralph Nader is endorsed by Ron Paul and I'm sure Dr. Paul will have a roll in a Nader administration. Eight years ago, Ralph Nader correctly predicted that the Federal National Mortgage Association (Fannie Mae) and the Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corporation (Freddie Mac) were on track to follow the savings and loan industry of the 1980s and 90s into a big financial heap of trouble. www.thenation.com Offical Nader 08 Channel: www.youtube.com

Senator John McCain rebuked sharply by Congressman Ron Paul

Senator John "what the hell is wrong with your neck" McCain was sharply rebuked by the honorable Ron Paul. Even the audience boo'ed McCain's attempt to pass off the prefered propaganda of choice of the pro-zionoist lobby. I actually had indifference towards John McCain until this incident during the debates, but for me, this was the last straw. Ron Paul Slams John McCain and Mitt Romney on Foreign Policy

During the 1-30-2008 GOP Debate, Representative Ron Paul (R-TX) is asked whether he agrees with the statement Senator John McCain made about the US keeping troops in Iraq for up to 100 years. He subsequently proceeds to slam both McCain and Ex-Governor Mitt Romney on their vastly similar foreign policy, chiding them for playing up minor differences between the two. Paul also suggests that the time is ripe for an open discussion regarding interventionism versus non-interventionism. Mitt Romney & John McCain smirks at Ron Paul during debate

Watch McCain and Romney sitting there with a smug, condescending look on their faces ... especially Mitt Romney. www.youtube.com To Mike Huckabee's credit, in this video, he acted with respect and almost looked as if Ron Paul was getting through to him. Here's Ron Paul's post-debate speech at Simi Valley Rally: www.youtube.com www.youtube.com www.youtube.com Do the math: Shouldn't Ron Paul have got 20 minutes instead of only 8 minutes? Does Fox News train CNN employees on the principle of "fair and balanced"? CNN had only four candidates during the debate. To any reasoning mind, it makes sense to give each candidate equal time, right? So each should get 25% of the time of the 1 hour and 22 minutes (82 minutes) available. This would give each candidate 20 minutes and 30 seconds to speak to the American People. Yet, Ron Paul only got 7 minutes and 57 seconds to speak. That's 9% of the time. CNN shortchanged Ron 12 1/2 minutes. Would giving Ron Paul those 12 1/2 minutes, he should have received, be that dangerous to CNN? Besides the other candidates, WHO stands to gain here by shortchanging Ron? Of course, those minutes had to go to the other three. Guess who got the most time? How can CNN employees, in the furthest stretch of imagination and in good conscience, believe this is fair? Are they so stupid to believe that Americans can't see through this unfair bullshit? Here's a breakdown of Ron Paul's time: Question 1 on the economy: 1:19 minutes Question 4 on the environment ...

Why Won't McCain Sign the GI Bill?

therealmccain.com Faced with unprecedented filibusters, the only way to ensure Senate passage of the GI Bill is to get 60 co-sponsors. So far, John McCain has refused. The same McCain who insists he supports our troops. The same McCain who is voting lockstep with the Bush administration (who have also resisted this bill). We need to get John McCain to lead -- to sign now and signal to other Republican leaders that we should be strongly behind our vets.
