"GET OUT AND VOTE" was written and sung by Mike Fischer. It was the general apathy of Christians who stayed home from the poles that triggered this song. Fischer believes that it is taking the horror of the Obama administration and it's extreme move toward a socialist European style government and the obvious move away from the values of our Christian nation to cause the masses of conservative Christians of all denominations to wake up, stand up and hopefully turn up to the next election. The song was originally written and recorded just prior to the 2004 presidential election. What triggered if off was a segment on the O'Reilly Factor when a prominent Christian leader stated that 3 out of 5 Fundamentalist Christians didn't vote in the 2000 elections. Fischer, who spent nearly 25 years overseas in Christian mission work was outraged, grabbed his guitar and wrote the song in 10 minutes. It was recorded a second time prior to the 2008 election. The video may be a couple years old the message remains the same. Fischer says, "Christians need to realize that our country is in the shape it's in because the majority of Christians have not done their part to stand up against the rise of evil in this country. We've done nothing for far too long and now we are being slapped in the face with the hard cruel reality of what our lethargy has cost us. It's not enough to simply "go to church on Sunday. That doesn't make you a Christian. It's time to call it like is and say, "if you aren ...
