He came to prominence as a member of pop group S Club 7 and for five years enjoyed number 1 hits in charts the world over. The band were also given their own TV show which ran for 4 seasons and was shown in 110 countries. Drakar Racing Team Cadet Racer — JON LEE Jon started go-karting at the age of seven and after two and a half years of training, Jon entered his first race in Malaysia - 2009 PLUS Micromax Championship. Despite his commitment in studies, he managed to complete five rounds of races and finished the whole championship at overall Sixth position - Second among the Singapore drivers. However, his proudest achievement in 2009 was to come in third position in the "Red White Sangari Int'l Invitational Kart Prix" race held in Malaysia, 21-22 November 2009. Organised by the Singapore Motor Sports Association, the inaugural Nescafe Singapore Karting Championship 2010 makes it easier for Jon to compete with minimum interruption in his studies. Held at Kartright Speedway, Jon had finished no lower than second in all five rounds of the championships and eventually clinched the championship title in the Cadet Category. Year 2010 has been a very hectic year for Jon as it marks the most races (11) he has competed. In total, he has managed to win three races and grabbed three podiums.To kick start the Year of Rabbit, Jon secured his first podium of third place at the Rotax Invitational Race. In 2011, Jon will continue to race and defend his championship in the Singapore Karting Championship. For sure, he will participate in more overseas races as well.
