This is "Time's Scar" aka "Scars of Time" from Chrono Cross. Chrono Cross by Squaresoft, music composed by Yasunori Mitsuda, arranged for 2 violins and piano by joshi3joshi, ViolinTay and myself. While the Chrono Trigger soundtrack is excellent, legendary and literally timeless, Mitsuda took a big step forward with Chrono Cross and added a whole new dimension of spirituality and depth to the music, very befitting to the complex, philosophical and dark themes that were portrayed. Hence, I am very happy to have made this collaboration with joshi3joshi and ViolinTay, two brilliant violonists. This collab took a lot of coordination and work, but it has turned out to be very gratifying, and I feel that the music was done justice to. Time will NEVER heal THESE scars! :)

This was requested by 1just12comment and LoneWolfOnTheHeights (who requested Lightning's Theme which is basically a different version of this, kinda). Sorry for the delay, guys! But we both feel this video was worth investing a bit more time into, and I am very pleased with the result. I haven't played FFXIII yet, but I love the soundtrack and I think Hamauzu did a great job on continuing Uematsu's line of work with the series. The battle theme is one of my favorites and it just has that quality that an amazing theme needs, I wouldn't mind listening to it for hours. IMHO the battle music is the most important music in an RPG as you end up listening to it for a majority of the playing time, and a mediocre battle theme can really have a bad impact on an otherwise well designed RPG (vice versa, too, at least for me). Now this battle theme is downright fantastic, it has a great vibe and it really engages the listener. As my part was done under time constraint in december, it isn't all it could be, but given the <b>...</b>
