(LEER NOTA COMPLETA) 74.125.47.132 El concubinato es una de las formas jurídicas que reconoce el Código Civil para el Distrito Federal de formar la familia. A diferencia del matrimonio, es un hecho jurídico que produce consecuencias sin acudir al juez del Registro Civil para que sancione esa unión. Esa figura ha pasado por diferentes etapas en la historia; incluso, en la época de los romanos se consideraba a la concubina como una "poellex", es decir, una prostituta. De entonces a la fecha la ley ha recogido los hechos, les ha dado fuerza legal y hoy encontramos un concepto jurídico que determina cuándo hay concubinato y qué efectos produce. Enseguida nos referiremos a este importante hecho jurídico, que actualmente tiene tales semejanzas que se puede casi equiparar a un matrimonio. CONCEPTO JURIDICO El Código Civil vigente para el Distrito Federal, a diferencia de los de la mayoría de los estados del país, ordena en el artículo 291 Bis lo siguiente: "La concubina y el concubinario tienen derechos y obligaciones recíprocos, siempre que, sin impedimentos legales para contraer matrimonio, hayan vivido en común en forma constante y permanente por un período mínimo de dos años, que preceden inmediatamente a la generación de derechos y obligaciones a los que alude este capítulo.
