Sungha Jung 2nd Album 'Irony' now availble at www.sunghajung.com Sungha http played 'Billie Jean' arranged by Adam Rafferty. "Billie Jean" is a dance-pop/R&B song by American recording artist Michael Jackson. It was written and composed by Jackson and produced by Quincy Jones (and co-produced by Jackson) for the singer's sixth solo album, Thriller (1982). Originally disliked by Jones, the track was almost removed from the album after he and Jackson had disagreements regarding it. The song is well known for its distinctive bass line and Jackson's vocal hiccups. The song was mixed 91 times by audio engineer Bruce Swedien before he finalized the song with the second mix. The song was also promoted through Jackson's Pepsi commercials; during the filming of one commercial, Jackson's scalp was severely burned. Covered by modern artists, "Billie Jean" sealed Jackson's status as an international pop icon.

Sungha Jung 2nd Album 'Irony' now availble at www.sunghajung.com http Sungha's 1st CD'Perfect Blue' is now available. Sungha plays 'Smells Like Teen Spirit' arranged by Eric Roche. "Smells Like Teen Spirit" is a song by the American rock band Nirvana. It is the opening track and lead single from the band's second album, Nevermind (1991), released on DGC Records. Written by Kurt Cobain, Krist Novoselic, and Dave Grohl and produced by Butch Vig, the song uses a verse-chorus form where the main four-chord riff is used during the intro and chorus to create an alternating loud and quiet dynamic. This song with its slurred words but catchy chorus made the band famous over night. The unexpected success of "Smells Like Teen Spirit" in late 1991 propelled Nevermind to the top of the charts at the start of 1992, an event often marked as the point where alternative rock entered the mainstream.[1] "Smells Like Teen Spirit" was Nirvana's first and biggest hit, reaching number six on the Billboard Hot 100 and placing high on music industry charts all around the world in 1991 and 1992. "Smells Like Teen Spirit" received many critical plaudits, including topping the Village Voice Pazz & Jop critics' poll and winning two MTV Video Music Awards for its music video, which was in heavy rotation on music television. The song was dubbed an "anthem for apathetic kids" of Generation X,[2][3] but the band grew uncomfortable with the success and attention it received as a result. In the years ...

Sungha Jung 2nd Album 'Irony' now availble at www.sunghajung.com Sungha http plays 'Tears in Heaven' arranged by Masa Sumide. "Tears in Heaven" is a ballad written by Eric Clapton and Will Jennings about the pain Clapton felt following the death of his four-year-old son,[1] Conor, who fell from a window of the 53rd-floor New York apartment of his mother's friend, on March 20, 1991. Clapton, who arrived at the apartment shortly after the accident,[2] was visibly distraught for months afterwards. [1] This song is one of Clapton's most successful, reaching #2 on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart in the US The song also spent three weeks at #1 on the American adult contemporary chart in 1992. Will Jennings, who worked with Clapton on the song, was reluctant at first to help him with such a personal song.[2] The song was initially featured on the soundtrack to the film Rush, and it won three Grammy awards for Song of the Year, Record of the Year and Male Pop Vocal Performance in 1993. "Eric and I were engaged to write a song for a movie called Rush. We wrote a song called 'Help Me Up' for the end of the movie... then Eric saw another place in the movie for a song and he said to me, 'I want to write a song about my boy.' Eric had the first verse of the song written, which, to me, is all the song, but he wanted me to write the rest of the verse lines and the release ('Time can bring you down, time can bend your knees...'), even though I told him that it was so personal he ...

The leader of the team was Jim Phelps, played by Peter Graves, except in the first season, during which the leader was Dan Briggs, played by Steven Hill. A hallmark of the series shows Phelps receiving his instructions on a tape that then self destructs, accompanied by the iconic theme music composed by Lalo Schifrin. The series aired on the CBS network from September 1966 to March 1973. It returned to television, as a revival, for two seasons on ABC, from 1988 to 1990 and later inspired a popular trio of theatrical motion pictures starring Tom Cruise and Ving Rhames in the 1990s and 2000s, with the role of Phelps played by Jon Voight. www.twitter.com/jungsungha

In music, a canon is a contrapuntal composition that employs a melody with one or more imitations of the melody played after a given duration (eg quarter rest, one measure, etc.). The initial melody is called the leader (or dux), while the imitative melody, which is played in a different voice, is called the follower (or comes). The follower must imitate the leader, either as an exact replication of its rhythms and intervals or some transformation thereof (see "Types of canon", below). Repeating canons in which all voices are musically identical that repeat are called rounds -- "Row, Row, Row Your Boat" and "Frère Jacques" being widely known examples. www.twitter.com/jungsungha

Wake me up when september ends - Sungha Jung

Sungha Jung 2nd Album 'Irony' now availble at www.sunghajung.com Sungha http plays "Wake me up when September ends." arranged by Ulli Bögershausen. "Wake Me Up When September Ends" is a song by American rock band Green Day. It was released as the fourth single from their seventh album, American Idiot. The single peaked at number six in the United States, becoming Green Day's second Top 10 single. It also peaked at number eight in Canada and the UK, while making number thirteen in Australia. "Wake Me Up When September Ends" had sold 1652000 copies as of May 2010, and was the second highest selling single in the US from American Idiot, behind only the multi-platinum "Boulevard of Broken Dreams". There was once much debate regarding the meaning of this song, one of the most common initial beliefs being that it was about the events of 9/11. In the liner notes, the song is dated September 10, and it is track 11 on the album. However, Billie Joe Armstrong has confirmed that the song was written as a memorial to his father, a jazz musician and truck driver, who died of esophageal cancer in 1982 when Armstrong was only ten years old.[2] In the live DVD Bullet in a Bible, Billie Joe started crying during the performance of the song. Billie stated, "I tried to fight it, but singing that song on stage and having 60000 people singing it right back at you, it was just too overwhelming.

Sungha Jung 2nd Album 'Irony' now availble at www.sunghajung.com Sungha http plays 'With or Without You' arranged by Jacques Stotzem. Tablature available, contact Jacques on his website.(www.stotzem.com) "With or Without You" is a song by rock band U2. It is the third track from their 1987 album, The Joshua Tree, and was released as the album's first single on 21 March 1987. The song was the group's most successful single at the time, becoming their first number-one hit in the both the United States and Canada by topping the Billboard Hot 100 for three weeks and the RPM national singles chart for one week. "With or Without You" features sustained guitar parts played by guitarist The Edge with a prototype of the Infinite Guitar, along with vocals by lead singer Bono and a bassline by bassist Adam Clayton. The song originated from a demo recorded in late 1985 that the group continued to work on throughout The Joshua Tree sessions. Ostensibly a troubled love song, the track's lyrics were inspired by Bono's conflicting feelings about the lives he led as a musician and domestic man. Critics praised the song upon its release. It is frequently performed on the band's tours, and it has appeared on a number of their compilation albums and concert films. "With or Without You" is U2's second most frequently covered song.[1] In 2010, Rolling Stone magazine placed the song at number 132 on their list of "The 500 Greatest Songs of All Time".
