Her album "Fairytales" (1982) is Norway's best selling jazz record to this day. She died in 1982.

Bøygard - Røre ved deg (live, 2008)


Written by Bøygard, the sisters Anita and Tove Bøygard from Ål in Hallingdal, Norway. Their record debut was in 2004 with the album "Belly Dream", with lyrics in English, and in 2008 they released the album "Røre ved deg" ("Touch you"), with lyrics in their own dialect.

Traditional tune from Grins Hans. Lisa Rydberg (violin) and Gunnar Idenstam (reed organ) imagine what might have happened if Bach had come to Sweden and met Swedish folk musicians - how the music might have been if they had jammed together. Rydberg and Idenstam called their concert programme, and the CD released in 2007, "Bach på svenska" - "Bach in Swedish". This tune is not on the CD. The TV programme was recorded in June 2009 at Confidencen Slottsteater, Stockholm.

Katie Melua - Nine Million Bicycles (the world's deepest concert, 2006)


From a concert 303 meters below sea level, at the bottom of the platform shaft of the Norwegian oil gas platform "Troll A" in the North Sea, October 2, 2006. The occasion for this special concert, called "the world's deepest concert", was the oil company Statoil's ten years jubilee for oil gas production on Troll A. Katie Melua had to go undergo a security training program before she was allowed to go down into the shaft. The song is written by Mike Batt.
