This stop motion music video was produced by me for a 3rd yr video project at UNSW, the theme was responding to NASA'S LCROSS mission to 'blow up' the moon for samples. What would happen then? This video entails what happens when a piece of moon mysteriously falls upon a girl, transforming her reality into a range of whimsical, fantasy like places. This video was made up of over 450 photographs shot over two days, totaling a 3 month production from concept to finished product.This was my first time using a DSLR camera (Nikon D90) and working with stop motion. Editng Program: Final Cut Pro. JS Zamecnik - was a remarkably prolific American composer of the early 20th century, and was a major composer of "photoplay music," the vast, forgotten genre of music used by silent film theater orchestras. Zamecnik was born and raised in Cleveland, studied with Antonín Dvorák in Prague, and returned to America as a professional musician and composer. He composed music in many genres including songs, dances, salon music, and pieces to be used in compiled silent film scores, composed a few significant complete film scores, and retired not long after the arrival of sound movies. Zamecnik was one of the few film-music composers who was working during the entire period from vaudeville through silent film to the coming of sound. Zamecnik's career encompassed the 15-year existence of photoplay music as a distinct genre (roughly 1913 to 1928), and his developing sophistication as an artist coincided with the development of film music, and of film itself. I've been repeatedly listening to this song! And no, not because of Wongfu's "Strangers, Again" video. I heard of this song before I even saw the trailer or the video. But I've fallen in love with this song. Like most people, this song is highly relevant to my past love life, explaining exactly where how I felt and what I, TOO, was trying to get across to my significant other during that time. Half-committed relationships don't always end on a good note. Some are able to compromise and grow from their mistakes. Others, take eachother for granted and the relationship slips into a sinkhole. But it doesn't mean that the story will end there... either a new chapter opens or, in many rare cases, the grace of love brings both back to rekindle what was lost. The future isn't always predictable but only through God alone, will it be when all what seems lost, will be found. I absolutely loved the part where Kina Grannis sang, "Now please don't get this wrong. You know I want you. But don't think I won't move on". This stanza reminded me of the video "Rumor Has It" where Jennifer Aniston's character had said to her significant other, "I didn't come here to tell you that I can't live without you. I can live without you. I just don't want to." I guess that line just reminds me of why I had stayed with my past significant other so long. Ofcourse I knew that I can do better.
