ktnkenya.tv The exact date for the renovation work of the Kisumu municipal stadium is still not clear after the three parties involved failed o reach an agreement fallowing a closed door meeting Thursday afternoon in the lakeside town of Kisumu. Representatives from football Kenya, sports ministry and the Kisumu municipal council came together to fine tune the work which is supposed to be taking place at the stadium but still could not announce the commencement date only forming a committee which is to set up a date. But as Joel Omotto reports residents of the lakeside town are now questioning whether the project will be completed this year.

Witnesses say the accident occurred when a lorry rammed into a matatu that had stopped at a road block on the Kisumu-Kakamega highway. President Mwai Kibaki and Prime Minister Raila Odinga are expected to officially open the refurbished Kisumu International Airport this Thursday in an event that will mark a major turnaround for the economy of the areas surrounding the Lake Victoria region. The airport which has been expanded at a cost of 3.9billion shillings will be Kenya's fourth international airport after Jomo Kenyatta, Moi International Airport- Mombasa and Eldoret International Airport. Bernard and Collins Tawa who also lost three of their siblings because of the disease have also been fending for their ageing grandmother. Despite the challenges they face each day, the two siblings have big dreams ahead.
