World's tamest, smartest and first ever trained ASF rat died last night. Poldi introduced many to ASF rats as pets and tried his best to disprove this species' reputation for being nothing but nasty biters. And as you can see, Poldi adored mice, and the mice adored Poldi. perhaps this looks nothing much, but it was very hard for kätzchen to hold the balance AND to freeze! my dogs are trained without any physical impact by the way. just not to be accused wrongfully of cruelty to animals or something...

Mouse Through Obstacle Course in Less Than 1 Minute
This was for my biology project. We had to train a living organism to do a trick. Mine was " Can a mouse be conditioned to run an obstacle course consisting of 10 obstacles in less than 1 minute?". We had to write a research paper with over 7 pages single spaced, write 100 journal entries, and make the mouse perform it in class. I ended up getting a 97% on this project, so I did pretty well on it.

Tiger cub playing w/ a house cat! (They really are friends).
THIS IS NOT AT MY HOUSE AND I DO NOT OWN EITHER ANIMAL. THIS FOOTAGE WAS TAKEN AT AN ANIMAL RESERVE. NEITHER ANIMAL WAS HARMED. The tiger cub and house cat live together and from what I was told play together on a regular basis. Just so you know, the house cat can come and go as he pleases from the area where the tiger cub is kept. While I was there I saw that cat come and play with the cub several times, never at any time was the cat forced to play. The house cat has been around many tiger and lion cubs at the reserve throughout the years.
