Video review of Northern BushCraft by Mors Kochanski. 20 mins long! www.youtube.com Mors is a legend in the survivalverse. In Central Northern Canada, Mors lived and taught in the bush. He coined the motto "The more you know, the less you carry", and his book helps you lighten the load. He will be your guide as you take a big step into the world of primitive skills living. The way he laid these skills out in this bug out bible is easy to read and the diagrams make it fun for a visual learner like myself. I bought mine in a thrift store for $4 and if I had to replace it then I'd gladly pay full price for it. That's because I live in Ontario, Canada and the environment is exactly what's covered in this bushcraft manual. The basics are covered including fire, axe, knife, saw, cordage, shelter, birches, conifers, willows, shrubs, the moose, the hare. While the breadth of this concise treatment of ancient knowledge is narrow each of the most basic survival skills is explained entirely. This book's not all about bugging out and survival though. The skills covered translate into camping, hiking, homesteading, and more. If you live or plan to visit the Northern Bush in Canada or even Northern United States, probably a lot of Europe, Asia, Russia or Narnia - if there's forests and it snows then this book is worth buying.
