The Haley-comet is shining in the sky and Albania is finally free from 500 years of Ottoman rule. Instead of freedom, anarchy reigns. The neighboring countries want a piece of Albania, the Ottoman sympathizers want the return of the Great Sultan and European powers want to establish their influence. Divided in protectorates between different European countries Albania at that time resembles very much the todays Iraq, Afghanistan, Bosnia, Kosovo etc. Wielhelm Wied an unanimous German Prince was crowned King of Albania with the task of establishing peace and creating a modern state of Albania modeled by the European states. In his post he lasted only six months. This period was turbulent, violent, cynical, tragic-comical and for some people it raised false hopes for a better future. In a small insignificant village in south Albania, a young man, Shestan, decides to take action. He sees the European presence as an historical chance for a new beginning. He wants to be participant and wants to serve and go to war for the new European King. With some of his friends he creates a small unit of fighters that sets of on a long journey to find the just war that will finally lead to freedom. But very soon this detachment of freedom fighters find themselves lost in the different landscapes of their own country. A tragic <b>...</b>

My room as a kid had walls covered in images of planets, galaxies, and stars. The ceiling was covered in stars, so every night I would fall asleep gazing into the realm of space, wondering what could be out there. This sense of a bigger picture has always been in the back of my mind, and has lead to an attraction towards science fiction and the great exploration in science. This passion has faded over the years, and has been overshadowed by my love of music, especially that within the jazz idiom. However, for the culmination of my musical career in college I wanted to create something that spanned both of these areas, fusing them into a work that has evolved into The Kométés Suite. The word comet came to the English language from Latin "cometes" from the Greek word komé, meaning "hair of the head"." Aristotle first used the word kométés to label comets as "stars with hair." This suite tells the story of a comet, unknown to mankind, that travels from the oort cloud on the edge of the solar system all the way to its final destination of the sun. The oort cloud is home to many of the long term comets that are in constant orbit of the sun. It is from this area that most of the comets are <b>...</b>

Maratona e filmit te ri shqiptar
"Koha e kometës" ka marë pjesë në Festivalin Ndërkombëtar të Arizonës Filmit (Scottsdale International Film Festival), të dhjetin me radhë, në qytetin Scottsdale të Arizonës, SHBA, në mesin e 27 filmave (pesë nga të cilët kanë qenë nominuar për Çmimin e sivjetshëm "Oskar"), nga 20 vende të botës, më 3 e 4 tetor 2010 u shfaq edhe filmi shqiptar "Koha e kometës", i regjisorit Fatmir Koçi, me aktorët Blerim Destani, Masiela Lusha, Çun Lajçi, Luan Jaha, Blerim Gjoci, Ralfph Moeller etj. Filmi do të shfaqet në Vlorë daten 29 Nëntor 2010 në aktivitetin kombëtar "Maratona e filmit te ri shqiptar".
