KP3 as a MIDI Controller
Ableton Live with KORG KAOSS PAD KP3. Stage6 version: stage6.divx.com In "EXT CTRL" mode, KP3 acts as a MIDI controller. It has eight virtual sliders, fourteen keys, one slider and volume. These controllers are assignable to any MIDI notes or CCs using KP3-Editor (PC software). KP3 is not just a multi effector; It is also a MIDI controller with nice LED illumination :) I think KP3 is one of most cost-effective gears in the current market.

Here's the second video in my 'Home Filmed' series. It's made using two Korg Kaoss Pad KP3's linked together which are effects processors/loopers/samplers all built into one. You can record in a sound which can loop automatically as well as record in a sound to trigger as and when you want. It's a lot of fun and a good way for you guys to see exactly how they work as i'm going to be using them quite a bit from now on. It's all vocal, sometimes using my sounds to manipulate the effects in the Kaoss Pads to create a certain sound. Remember it's all made in one take, everything performed and recorded live and all made with one microphone and my mouth! All the sounds are sampled from video "Kalimba with KP3" of Denkitribe. I used only ESX-1 to edit samples and make this track. Other sound sources/equipments are not used at all. Example, kick sound is emitted by using low-pass filter and pitch envelope. By using the short cycled loop and resample function, synth sounds are generated from kalimba sound.
Elektron Machinedrum, Access Virus C & KP3 - Minimal Tech House (Live)
Hi Folks, Its been a while since my last live session so I thought that I'd better get one up and this time instead of the Roland MC-909 I am using the machinedrum & virus. So here we have a Minimal Techno House live improv using Elektron Machinedrum SPS-1 MK2, Access Virus C, Korg Micro Kontrol, Korg Kaoss Pad 3 and Logic Studio Pro 8. This was recorded in one take and is a little rough around the edges but when considering that I was quite happy with the end result. The Machinedrum is used for the drums and is sequencing itself, Logic Studio Pro is used for recording and sequencing the Virus C (controlled via micro kontrol) and for sending out the midi clock to both units. Korg R3 and the KP3 - Ambient piece
Was playing around with a sound on the R3 and through the KP3 together resulting in a nice thick ambient sound that I really could have gotten lost in. Music & Video By: Daniel Springs This was just a quick shot video and I look forward to using the sound and the ambient background track I prepared in a recording very soon. The Roland SP-555 was only used as an audio interface and the Akai apc-40 was used to trigger the ambient loop I previously prepared for the video. I will use this same sounds in the live set this coming Saturday as well Live on BlogTV.

Koneyn - Solvent (ver. 2 / Kaoss Pad 3 demo)
Improvising a track with Korg Kaoss Pad 3, loops were prepared in Ableton Live 7 and imported onto four sample banks on KP3. Recorded directly from the Kaoss Pad's LineOuts into E-MU 0404 PCI, no extra sounds added or editing performed, except for the slight compression on the final recording to increase loudness.
