The aerodynamic kit features panels made of carbon fiber and include widened fenders and wheel arches along with a new front end with large air intakes. There are side skirts too that help create the Cayenne's new look here as well as a rear skirt with integrated diffuser for those symmetrically laid trapezoidal quad tailpipes. Engine tuning involves an ECU reworking that's good for an additional 50 PS and 100 Nm of torque for a total output rating of 550 PS (405 kW / 542 bhp) and 800 Nm (590 lb-ft) of torque on the 4.8 liter turbocharged V8 of the Cayenne II Turbo. FAB-Design also adds a stainless-steel sport exhaust and sits the Cayenne II onto its 22-inch wheels. A suspension lowering is also done here by means of an electronic module but the tuner doesn't specify the millimeters. For the inside is a finish in leather and Alcantara, as per the choice of the client, along with carbon inserts and aluminum panel for the trimming touches.

A wide array of classics dominated the field from the likings of Bugatti, Duesenberg, Rolls Royce, Allard, Cadillac, Lincoln, Chevrolet, Kurtis, Packard, Plymouth, Tucker and several others totaling to over 300 cars in all. For 2011 the Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance benefited Community Hospice of Northeast Florida Inc. Other charities and vendors were on hand to commemorate this truly remarkable event. To round out the filed, the new Bugatti Veyron Super Sport made an appearance near the entrance of the Ritz hotel. Onlookers were in for a treat as this is touted as the world's fastest production car clocked at an astonishing 268 miles per hour. According to Translogic, the eco-friendly roadster will feature a 143 PS (105 kW / 141 hp) electric motor and a BMW-sourced 5.0-liter V10 engine that develops 507 PS (373 kW / 500 hp) and 520 Nm (383 lb-ft) of torque. This will give the car a combined output of 650 PS (478 kW / 641 hp) which will enable the 2821 pound (1280 kg) RSIII to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 3.1 seconds and hit a top speed of 205 km/h (127 mph). More importantly, car's lithium-ion battery will allow the plug-in hybrid to travel up to 50 km (31 miles) on electricity alone. Furthermore, since the electric motor powers the front wheels, the RSIII has a de facto all-wheel drive system which should ensure safe and predictable handling. No word on when the hybrid will be launched, but a coupe is slated for this summer and an EV variant is planned for 2013.

This was the first day of testing on the track for the 2011 VLN series participants and the P4/5 Competizione was strutting its stuff supplied from three Italian tuners who have helped with its construction. Its track runs also featured the celebrity drivers Nicola Larini, Mika Salo, Fabricio Giovanardi and Luca Capellari. The Ferrari P4/5 Competizione is the brain-child of American collector and enthusiast Jim Glickenhaus and is based on the F430 Scuderia. It comes with the engine and suspension of the Ferrari F430 GT2 ALMS. The first P4/5 began as a one-off model Glickenhaus commissioned Pininfarina to design back in 2006. The objective for the Ferrari P4/5 Competizione is to bring some old 60s playboy glamour to the ADAC 24 hour race at the Nürburgring this year. And Glickenhaus wouldn't mind winning the race either.

For a top speed in excess of 330 km/h (205 mph) Novitec Rosso fine-tuned the body components using the wind tunnel at the University of Stuttgart. Made of carbon fiber the aerodynamic-enhanced kit consists of a lower spoiler, right/left wing flaps and ventilation louvers attached to the original bumper fascia. Also in carbon fiber are the fenders, side skirts, carbon-fiber mirror housings, rear spoiler and diffuser. And last but not least the roof panel and engine hood are also made from carbon fiber.
