Riding through Ksamil, Albania on my Aprilia ETV 1000 Caponord. Notice all the collapsed buildings. Destroyed by the government due to building owners lack of documents and building rights. In this small town or village there were approximately 30 houses destroyed, very tragic, Other then that Ksamil unfortunately was almost completely empty of tourists and it also looked like one big building site. Very nice beach and crystal clear water though!

www.facebook.com Ksamil is a small coastal village in southern Albania.It is located south of the city of Sarandë off the road to Butrint and is part of District of Sarandë. It is also one of the most frequented coastal resorts, both by domestic and foreign tourists. The main attractions are the nearby islets, where fresh sea food restaurants are located and which can be easily reached by hired boat. The mainland beach is small, but clean, and there are cafe and clean toilet facilities nearby. There are a number of small hotels and guest houses in the town, some are open throughout the year all during the summer months.

There are two 38 m cruisers, two 18 m torpedo boats, and a 17 m patrol boat in water depths ranging from 15 msw to 33 msw. Saranda: Saranda liegt an einer kleinen, nicht sonderlich geschützten und nach Süden offenen Bucht, die von rund 200 Meter hohen Hügeln umgeben ist. Von hier sind es nur wenige Kilometer zur südwestlich gelegenen griechischen Insel Korfu. Von der fruchtbaren Ebene im Osten ist die Stadt durch einen schmalen Hügelzug getrennt, der sich nach Süden bis zum Vivar-Kanal zieht und sich nördlich der Stadt zu 600 Meter hohen Bergen erhebt. Auf dem Mali i Lëkurësit, der ein Teil dieses Hügelzuges ist und südöstlich des Stadtzentrums liegt, wurde im Mittelalter eine Burg errichtet (genannt Kalaja e Lëkurësit). Nordöstlich von Saranda liegt 15 Kilometer entfernt im Landesinneren die Kleinstadt Delvina. Im Norden beginnt die Albanische Riviera. Ksamil: Ksamil (albanisch auch Ksamili, griechisch Eksamilion Εξαμίλιο) ist ein kleiner Ort respektive eine Gemeinde ganz im Süden Albaniens am Ufer des Ionischen Meers, aber auch der Name von vier kleinen Inseln und der langen Halbinsel zwischen dem Butrintsee im Osten und dem Meer, auf der der Ort ungefähr 15 Kilometer südlich von Saranda liegt. Die bis Ksamil sehr schmale Halbinsel verbreitert sich südlich des Orts und formt eine attraktive Küste mit vielen Buchten mit Sandstrand und einigen kleinen Inseln. Von Ksamil, das an der engsten Stelle der Straße von Korfu liegt, sind es keine vier Kilometer zur griechischen Insel Korfu.
