The Worst Of Heavy Metal: Kuster
All credits&cheers to The Corroseum! (www.thecorroseum.com) Kuster was supposedly a short lived Hard Rock band in Belgium and not only totally unknown and one of the most mysterious, but also one of the dullest, weirdest and crappiest ever that can be found. According to them "They are the Best" and "Shit" can go "To Disco, Punk and New Wave". Well...okay, if you think so. The music alone is an incredibly mind numbing two-riff-fest with solos so bad they make you weep, but it's the point where even the hardest of the crap metal lovers cover in fear when the vocals sound in. This is where Kuster really were unique. For example, just listen to the smurf high pitched echoes on "Love A Bit" and you'll know what I mean. You just can't understand why they did things so strange at times, pronounced the words so comically. I don't mean because english isn't their mother language, that would be understandable and okay, but they just did...strange comic sounds. For example when Thommy starts to gargle like a moron sometimes. Especially their first vocalist Thommy on the first two samples is one of the worst I've ever heard. On later releases two other guys did them, but they were hardly better (maybe saner). This is total cult euro trash rock at its loving best. I love it, not only a bit, I really do love them. All hail to Kuster! One thing to add: Their vinyls, of which only 5 are known (I suppose there are six because of the '85 7"EP title) are all very hard to find, even more in <b>...</b>
