Prototype Lamborghini Countach 5000S-Amazing Living History on the Move
Its truly rare that you find a specimen as historic as this Lamborghini Countach 5000S in mint condition. This gem was built in 1982, sent to the US as the first 5.0 liter (LP500). The car was originally carburated but then became the prototype for fuel injection--yes, you heard me. This IS the first fuel-injected Lamborghini EVER! It was shipped back to the factory in 1984 for bodywork and then used as the Geneva and Turin Show car. It was re-badged to 5000S. As you can see, this is in pristine condition with all original factory paint and interior and is the only silver on blue color combination. The car has 15000 original kilometers on the odometer. I recorded this amazing Lamborghini Countach 5000 Quattrovalvole with Kreissieg exhaust (Cat-back F1 Sound Exhaust System). This aftermarket stainless steel exhaust makes the Countach much noisier then the stock one. Although the driver didn't revved the engine hard, the idle sound is in real life pretty hard. This tribute to Marcello Gandini had been created by Flavio Adriani, a freelance designer that mostly works in the architectural market, he might not be a car designer by profession, but this Countach Concept EV sure looks impressive nonetheless. As with most of us the Lamborghini Countach fascinated him during his childhood, and the idea of one day designing his own super car came to life when he created a modern incarnation of one of the most legendary Raging Bulls ever made, the Countach. Take into account that the original Countach as it was designed by Marcello Gandini had inspired many designers all over the world, so if you start working on a tribute you must remain true to the 'old' model but still be able to drag it into the 21st century, remember the last Countach came of the assembly line in Sant'Agata nearly 20 years ago ... and it received a prominent place in the factory museum. So how did Flavio go about creating his new Countach Concept car ? He decided to keep the overall look of the legendary Countach but still change the details. Hence the general appearance like those trademark doors, the front spoiler, the rear wing and the wheel arch extensions remained on his new design. Flavio did go for totally different headlight as pop-up lights are a bit out of fashion these days, but those split side windows are still there. However Flavia introduced a very nice twist into the Countach Concept EV design ... he went for an electric car. That's right, this next <b>...</b>

During Spa Italia at circuit Spa Francorchamps I recorded this beautiful yellow Lamborghini Countach LP400 S. This "S" model has the same engine from the LP400 model (353bhp), but Lamborghini slightly upgraded up to 375bhp. Written by famed auto editor Brock Yates and produced by Hal Needham, the hit film Cannonball Run was inspired by a coast-to-coast road race, which Yates organized during the early 1970s. 1987 Lamborghini Countach QV. This was my first Lamborghini and i regret selling it. Another Countach will be coming soon. The footage in this video is about 15yrs old. Car had a few mods done. Custom exhaust, and i replaced the Bosch Mechanical Injection with an Electromotive Tec2 EFI and distributorless ignition. Car ran incredibly well.
