Screen was ordered from LaptopScreen.com Watch as I install a replacement screen on my Gateway NV52, heck it's even better quality then the one that it came with. They sent a rather nice Samsung LCD and Gateway sold the laptop with a "AU Optronics" LCD that I really think is some no name China brand. Screen replacement was easier then I thought it would be. LaptopScreen.com used plenty of bubble wrap (as seen at the start of video) which shows they do like to protect what they sell. If you need a new LCD for your laptop I'd recommend them over any other company out there for their prices and delivery speed. (Only took 5 days from order and that was including time over the weekend)

Even if you've never taken apart a computer before, if you follow these step-by-step instructions in this video, you'll be just fine. Also, it helps if you're patient... LOL. This was an installation I did for a friend. We ordered the new screen from www.laptopscreen.com. Ordering was easy and delivery was fast and on time. The most important thing to know when ordering your new screen is the backlight of your model. Backlight is what illuminates your LCD screen. There are two main types of backlighting. 1.) CCFL (Cold cathode fluorescent lamp) 2.) LED (Light emitting diode) I won't get into the details because www.laptopscreen.com does a great job of explaining this. To find out what type of backlight your laptop has look at the manufacturer's website for your laptop's specs... at least that's how I found out for my friend. Last but not least, the old screen should be disposed of properly. These days Best Buy has a recycling bin for computer parts so next time you visit Best Buy take the old screen with you and drop it off there.
