MUSIC READING - Level 1: Reading Music Notes on the Guitar

The response from Andrew Wasson , of Creative Guitar Studio, to: "Can you do a video lesson that explains how to read music notation (not tab) on the guitar? There are so many of the exact same notes on the neck that I cant understand how the process of where the notes should be played specifically actually works when a guitarist reads music notation. Thanks, Vincent, NY. Andrew Wasson of Creative Guitar Studio covers the process of how guitarists can learn how to organize the music notes from a song onto the guitar fretboard in a logical manner using a system. Learn to read music for piano without sheet, using MIDI

This video is for those who want to read music and learn songs really accurate (like reading sheet music) but without needing to learn how to read sheet music. I find a great software that display all the events recorded inside an MIDI sequence through a virtual keyboard. This way you can simply look at the notes in your computer screen and repeat them in your piano. Each channel can be view it separately or in a single roll. I learn to play many songs with this program; classical, rock, pop, ballad... You can learn complex songs even if you don't know anything about sheet music. The best software I find to display the notes is Sweet Sixteen MIDI Sequencer (by Roni Music). Although Synthesia is great too but is more like a game than a tool for musicians. To learn more about Synthesia go to www.youtube.com or www.youtube.com Download Sweet Sixteen MIDI Sequencer: www.ronimusic.com If you want to try Synthesia too, go here: www.synthesiagame.com vanBasco's Karaoke Player is another software that you may want to try for the same purpose: www.vanbasco.com You can find Sweet Sixteen MIDI Sequencer for free in trial version so it will be some limitations and it will popup a continuous reminder to buy the product, but it will work just fine. You can also buy it. Tips for Sweet Sixteen MIDI Sequencer: - To move the keyboard in the grid hold down the shift key and use the left/right arrow button. - To auto-load the custom settings save a file with the name "DEFAULT.SNG", this file ...

MUSIC READING - Level 7: Part 1 of 3 - The Fingerboard Connection

www.creativeguitarstudio.com Search Andrew Wasson.com for FREE lesson Handouts. This Video: January 28, 2011 | Search Videos by Title/Date. GO TO: www.andrewwasson.com Andrew Wasson of Creative Guitar Studio answers a viewers question... Q: First off, I'd like to state that, I am a decent guitarist with 16 years experience on guitar. I just watched your video on Constructing Chords on the Guitar Neck where you had mentioned that music reading is an important element for learning fret-board notes and music's various rhythms! I can't tell you how many times I've tried to discipline myself to begin learning to read music on the guitar. And, in the end, I have always abandoned it. I've purchased books like; the Hal Leonard Guitar Method Book 1, Classical Guitar for Beginners, and another one called Play Guitar Today. These books were so dumb and boring that I just could not find any motivation to study from them. My question would be; Is it possible for a somewhat established player to actually go backwards and learn a fundamental rudiment like music reading? And, have you got any music reading study tips. Thanks BTW - for your incredible guitar lessons! Bill, Rhode Island - USA A: When it comes to learning music reading I think it can be summed up with three points... #1. Make a decision that you are going to learn to read -- and stick to it through thick and thin. #2. Realize that most of the books out there are not great, and only a few will work as good supplements to ...

Nas - I Can

Nas - I Can - "Read more, learn more, change the globe". Beat from 0:01-0:10 - is from James Browns "The Boss" and also used by Nas in "Get Down". Piano song: Für Elise by Beethoven. Main beat from The Honeydrippers" Impeach the President". With Subs. Thanks for all the comments. Background piano in the beginning: Für Elise by Beethoven, played by Nas' own daughter (or so I've been told). Don't make Nas your teacher in history - still; the song has a strong purpose and message and is a great song; enjoy! Lyrics: [Kids] I know I can (I know I can) Be what I wanna be (be what I wanna be) If I work hard at it (If I work hard at it) I'll be where I wanna be (I'll be where I wanna be) [Nas] Be, B-Boys and girls, listen up You can be anything in the world, in God we trust An architect, doctor, maybe an actress But nothing comes easy it takes much practice Like, I met a woman who's becoming a star She was very beautiful, leaving people in awe Singing songs, Lina Horn, but the younger version Hung with the wrong person Got her strung on that Heroin, cocaine, sniffin up drugs all in her nose... Music for the alphabet song including some common variations on the lyrics Alphabet song Tune for Alphabet song Problems listening to this file? See media help. The song was first copyrighted in 1835 by the Boston-based music publisher Charles Bradlee, and given the title "The ABC, a German air with variations for the flute with an easy accompaniment for the piano forte". The musical arrangement was attributed to Louis Le Maire (sometimes Lemaire), an 18th century composer. This was "Entered according to act of Congress, in the year 1835, by C. Bradlee, in the clerk's office of the District Court of Massachusetts", according to the Newberry Library,[1] which also says, "The theme is that used by Mozart for his piano variations, Ah, vous dirai-je, maman."[2] This tune is more commonly recognizable as "Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star". ABC Song

www.supersimplelearning.com Song = The Alphabet Song (Learn It) Album = Super Simple Songs Set to the same tune as "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star", The ABC Song for children is a classic. In this video, we slow the song down and speak the letters very clearly, so young learners can catch and understand each letter. You'll also notice we remove the "and" between "Y and Z". Many young learners confuse that "and" for a letter name when first hearing the song. We hope you enjoy the song, and our apologies to our British English speaking friends for the Zee instead of Zed. We'll try to get a new version for you soon More simple songs for young learners, CDs, downloads, videos, activity ideas, and free worksheets available at www.supersimplesongs.com Get our latest songs for children by subscribing to our channel, and let us know what your favorite kids songs are!
