Londonist Goes Wheee! BodySpaceMotionThings, Tate Modern, May 2009

Londonist Goes Wheee! A recreation of a 1971 installation by artist Robert Morris. The original installation was closed after 4 days because of overwhelming audience response. The original plans were rebuilt for the UBS Openings: The Long Weekend at Tate Modern in May 2009, using contemporary materials and with many more stewards keeping watch. We had lots of fun. Wheee! The (Cancelled) Halloween March for Sharia - London

The Cancelled Halloween March for Sharia - London (update) londonist.com A pro-Sharia law march planned for today in London was cancelled owing to security concerns. The march, by Islam4Uk, was led by Anjem Choudhary, a media-savvy windbag who gets his kicks by rejoicing in terror attacks and making inflammatory statements, and hopes to turn Britain into an Islamic state, had planned to march along the Mall and up to the doors of Buckingham Palace, but after complaints and threats of a counter-demonstration, police stepped in to cancel it. The hoardes of barbarians swarming toward the Palace gates didn't get very far this time; Islam4Uk met later in the day at an undisclosed location, where they were spotted cutting out minarets and glueing them to pictures of Big Ben. Dominoes 2009, Sunday 26 July 2009

Dominoes 2009: a Station House Opera project for CREATE09. This section was the start of the 15km route in Mile End Park; the dominoes eventually crossed the road, went into Matt's Gallery and out of a window, knocking the last domino into a waiting barge on the canal which then travelled to Island Gardens to start the next section. Full details of the route and the project here. Music by Jason Shaw www.audionautix.com under the Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 US licence http londonist.com

Streets of London

1971 wechselte McTell zum Plattenlabel „Famous"/EMI, wo die LP You Well Meaning Brought Me Here erschien.
