Long Jump Drills to Improve the Take Off
This series of drills is designed to develop improved long jump take off mechanics and technique. The skipping drills allow the long jumper to focus on the correct placement of the foot in a take off contact with the heel leading. The second drills take these skipping drills into a long jump take off. The drills shown should be done off both feet to develop coordination and ensure both legs are conditioned in the same manner.
