This work repurposes the diaphragm of a loudspeaker as a drumhead. The loudspeaker is used as both an input and an output device at the same time, similar to a head of an actual drum. Whereas one may directly hit the loudspeakers diaphragm, we mount it protected as bottom head of a standard tom-tom to prevent the drummer from damaging it. In this configuration, audio effects can be applied to the tom-tom sound, but the sound of the drum still remains natural with its full dynamic range. In particular, we look at filtering effects that can for instance dampen or lengthen the drums decay and at ring modulation to introduce new components to the drums sound. Fixing a Loudspeaker on Your Own Quality of modern acoustic systems and some loudspeakers can be assessed in different ways. We are used to compare, first of all, manufacturers, designs, prices, and packaging arrangements of all materials according to the production quality of acoustics themselves. Of course, we also evaluate the product on the exterior, ie we want to see its full-scale capacity. In most cases the manufacturer himself is responsible for the quality and long lifespan of imported and domestically produced acoustics. To some extent, we also determine this by protecting the devices from excessive sound challenges. However, a loudspeaker is a device which often has to operate in deteriorating conditions.
