Ludwig Cartoon - The Arrival

Magpie finds Ludwig has come to Stay & Play. A Bizarre ovoid jewel or egg like object from which devices emerge eg helicopter rotor arms, legs, wings etc. These sundry gadgets are used to aid unfortunate small animals which live in the same forest, under the binocular gaze of an anonymous, deer stalker clad observer...all to the accompaniment of an early Beethoven scherzo! Brilliant, strange paranoid, wonderful. Whatever happened to this sort of imagination in "kids" programmes? 1977 All 25 episodes now available at - www.iLudwig.co.uk

Für Elise(Elise) By Ludwig Van Beethoven

{SUBSCRIBE!!} Hi my name is Vi and i was 11 when i made this video (but check out my channel if you wanna know my current age) and this is my first Video!!!! here is a little history lesson on Beethoven: He was born in the German town of Bonn on the 16th of December 1770. His grandfather Ludwig and his father Johann were both musicians. Johann was to act as little Ludwig's first music teacher, but Ludwig soon changed to the court organist CG Neefe. Passing eleven years of age, Ludwig deputized for Neefe, and at twelve had his first music published. He then stayed as Neefe's assistant until 1787, when at seventeen, he took off for Vienna. Even though Vienna was to be his home for the rest of his life, this first visit was short. On hearing that his mother was dying, he quickly returned to Bonn. Five years later he finally moved to Vienna to live and work. After arriving in 1792 he studied composition and counterpoint under Haydn, Schenk, Salieri and Albrechtsberger. At the same time, he tried to establish himself as pianist and composer. His good relations with the towns aristocracy soon led to a secured income. In 1809, with the sole condition that he stayed in Vienna, Prince Kinsky, Prince Lobkowitz and Archduke Rudolp even guaranteed Beethoven a yearly income. But going back to the years around 1800, which is traditionally called the early period, he was still trying to master the high classical style. This strive culminated in the second symphony from 1801-1802. This ...

Liberty and Economics

What kind of man was Ludwig von Mises? As this unique film shows, Mises (1881-1973) was a man who never stopped fighting for freedom: not when the Nazis burned his books, not when the Left blackballed him at universities, not when it seemed as if statism had won. With courage and genius, he fought big government until the day he died ... in 25 books, hundreds of articles, and more than 60 years of teaching. Mises's battles against Communists, Nazis, and other socialists, are featured in this film, as are his ideas of Liberty. There is also the old Vienna he loved, the Bolshevik prime minister he dissuaded from Communism, and a cast of villains from Lenin to Hitler, as well as such supporters and students as Murray Rothbard, Ron Paul, Bettina Greaves, M. Stanton Evans, Mary Peterson, Joseph Sobran, and Yuri Maltsev. Among his many accomplishments, Mises showed that socialism had to fail, that central banking causes recessions and depressions, that the gold standard is honest money, and that only laissez-faire capitalism is fully compatible with Western civilization. Mises was the twentieth century's foremost economist, and one of its most important champions of Liberty. Here is a film that does justice to this extraordinary man, and to his equally extraordinary ideas.

Helmut Berger; Ludwig

tribute to Helmut Berger in Visconti's Ludwig, an epic film if there ever was one. The song used is 'A river flows in you' by Yiruma. I regard Berger's performance in this film as one of the best ever captured on celluloid. He blew me away when i first watched it and immediatley i had to watch every other film of his that i could get my hands on. The film itself is also a masterpiece. Though long, i find it is never boring. Romy Schneider is also very good in a different reprisal of her 'Sissi' role. My top Performances in film (in no order) are: Daniel Day Lewis in There Will Be Blood, Vincent Cassel in La Haine, Helmut Berger in Ludwig, Peter O'Toole in Lawrence of Arabia, Christopher Walken in The Deer Hunter, Billy Crudup in Stage Beauty, Ajay Devgan & Saif Ali Khan in Omkara, Willem Dafoe in The Last temptation of Christ Of course, there are many more performances i admire : )

Ludwig's Castle

Ludwig's voice in New Super Mario Bros. Wii reminds me of Snake's from the Simpsons, so I took a couple of clips (one laughing and one speaking) from a Treehouse of Horror episode "Hell Toupe" and animated to the audio. The castle/setting is the one from Super Mario World. There are some things about the timing I don't like but had to do in order for actions to read more clearly. Making Toad's head move around quicker made it look too confusing. His screaming zoom was longer, which looks better, but I had to cut it in order to show Ludwig being hit and not have it happen so quickly that you could barely tell what happened. I thought about making a full scenario too, instead of just a few shots. In the end, the purpose was to make Ludwig speak in Snake's voice, so mission accomplished. Elapsed time - a few days, off and on. Black space at the end in case youtube chops my video off as it tends to do

Grosse Fuge, Ludwig van Beethoven part 1

String Quartet opus 133 the Great Fugue composed by Beethoven, in 1825 and 1826. Freedom Of Expression, A Man that became and reached freedom Beethoven is God. i recommend to listen to the interpretation of Vegh's Quartet (witch can be found at www.youtube.com In my opinion it is one of the greatest composition of all time, it is absolutely an contemporary piece of music and if i can say the first jazz composition. The piece is interpreted by Quartetto Italiano. Part 1 JacobRudduck "To those saying it's ugly, it's supposed to be ugly. Beethoven intended it to challenge your sense of beauty; can something so dissonant and abstruse be beautiful? This music is so ugly, it's beautiful in itself. One of the greatest compositions ever" filopaa1990 "he was deaf, guys, DEAF when he composed this. Amazing. No words." do not define Jazz purely theoretically but judge it from a subjective point of view, intimately; then try to find in it any Jazz actual theoretical characteristics. But not the other way.
